@onlyrock1 This was the intro for "SCTV Network 90" on NBC. I believe that the show this was opening was the Emmy winning "Moral Majority" show, broadcast July 10, 1981. I have the SCTV Network 90 5 Disc box set. In fact, I have the entire NBC run of the show in box sets from Shout! Factory. I used to stay up late on Friday nights and tape the audio track on cassette tape. I still have a couple of them left. Best Sketch comedy show EVER produced!!!
These were the stars that made SCTV classic television -- sorry, I never got into Martin Short (and still haven't). Count Floyd, Dr. Tongue, Johnny LaRue, Bobby Bittman, and the incredible Jerry Todd ( who GAVE us VIDEO ! ) were the greatest ! Andrea Martin and Catherine O'Hara were histerical, brainy, sexy, and so fantastic !
This was the season I started watching it regularly. I can't believe I've never seen any of those other earlier "A-Team"-style openings, particularly since I think I saw every sketch from that era at one time or another. SCTV had a strange peripatetic history for such a brilliant show.
