What are the reasons for a speed wobble occurring? and if it does happen..any tips to getting out of it?? happened to me on a fucking 125cc..so before i upgrade i thought i better seek guidance...hahaha bikes 4 life!!!

The only error I saw is the ones that the idiot with the camera made. If you're making a left turn and the driver ahead goes down you sure as fuck don't go to the riders right. That's where the falling rider and his bike are going to go.

if that was from grabbing brakes why grab them there? maybe too much lean + power..... + pete was taking discuisting lines the corners before. glad he was ok though.. as for the comment below.. yeah it does all happen faster when your are the one on your ass.

1st of all,these guys are doing amature racing,hence the yellow number plate. This is a very common situation on the track because you don't have brake lights, so you can't just stab your brakes or you will end up with a much worse pileup when you are hit from behind. These guys are atleast smart enough to take it to the track. I'm sure that no one had a serious injury, I've been involved in dozenz of these. Easy to mondaymorning quarterback, but in reality it happens faster than vid shows.

I just experienced a wobble today after letting both hands go off the handbar to fix my helmet's mp3 volume. 40-50mph is enough to wobble. I am very scared to ride now. I've let my hands go off the handlebar before and it was ok. What do you thing this might be? can a mechanic find out what's wrong? Is this just my wheel that needs alignemt?? WTF? Does anybody know what's going on? Thanks.

To the poster: are you sure it was target fixation? It looked to me like the guy with the camera reacted to the wobble immediately - too early, as it turns out - and made a critical error trying to predict which way Mr. Asher and his bike would slide. What was Pete's take on it?

I'm no expert. Wheel balancing would be a guess. I recently suffered the same.
My brake disc is buckled....HTH
