  • This is beyond epic.

  • As much as I love all of your songs, this particular one I've been coming back to and listening to it at least once or twice a week since you uploaded it; whenever I feel down, nothing beats the feeling of putting on a pair of headphones, closing my eyes, and melting into the music.

    Thank you, Aivi.

  • chills everywhere!

  • I LOVE IT!

  • i lov how u arranged this u have true talent!!! ^_^

  • Love it, reminds me alot of Kingdom heart for some reason.

  • @RedX2k probably because KH takes aspects from Final Fantasy. And Tetsuya Nomura worked on both.

  • been slowly going through your catalogue of songs this evening haha. Love your work.

  • Do mind if I use this for a video I love this lol great work lol XD

  • Lovely arrangement. Would love to watch your hands glide across the piano as you play it though, see some of that passion

  • @mugen35811 Thank you! And yet passion is so much easier when no one is watching, haha...

  • @waltzforluma "Those Who Insanely Love Books Say" <-- Good Song.

  • @waltzforluma theoretically, no one is watching when you play and you record it ;)

  • Docnano sent me...You have my subscription...

  • I am displeased by the lack of video, but awesome arrangement as always, Aivi :) So nice to hear something new all the while it still brings you the memories from the original play.

  • this is amazing!! very awesome! <3 :)

  • I really, really like this. I have always felt rather indifferent about To Zanarkand but your re-envisioned version is sparklingly beautiful.

  • Severe=never. Dang phone autocorrect =P

  • You severe cease to amaze me.... If in all my years of piano playing I ever become half as good as you.... Yeah I'm young, 18, but I've been playing piano for a good half my life and am nowhere near your musical ability. It's individuals like you that give me true reason to live! You will always be in my heart as a great inspiring musician I can only dream of becoming.

  • could you possibly do a rearrangement of 'the splendid performance'? that would be awesome! ^-^

  • This is simply Amazing!! :D i am a big fan of anything Final Fantasy related, especially the Piano Collections, and i wouldnt be suprised if Squarenix brought out a CD with this Track on it. It is a breathtaking Arrangement, one of the best Ive heard, Keep it up!!!

  • This is one of my favorite pieces to play on guitar....now time to learn your arrangement of it!! Great job, you consistently put out amazing videos by putting enough of your own style into the songs, but keep enough of it to make the piece recognizable.

  • You wouldn't have the sheet music for sale would you. I would buy in a heartbeat. Im overseas and have nothing better to do than play piano till i get back home. And thank you for the time you take to post these videos. Ive been trying to find my calling for a long time and i think i found something i really enjoy. You are an Inspiration along with nightshader1 and zohar002. i love the arrangements. You truely have my thanks. i have something to shoot for.

  • how long did it take you to arrange this project? this is just too good. you should become a composer yourself for final fantasy. you can be as good as nobuo, or even better. :)

  • Almost doesn't sound like video game music

  • I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty damn fantastic. At first listening through it I wasn't really that amazed... Then I heard your flair of creativity come in. That's when I was basically smacked in the face by your music. It was extremely well done and I envy your abilities. Haha. The thought of even coming up like this is somewhat similar to writing a book. I think arranging is a bit more difficult though. =p. I've seen your stuff before, I dunno why I haven't subscribed. I did now. =]. Good job

  • It's like what To Zanarkand would have been like had it have been rearranged for Piano Collections.

Seriously. It fits in THAT well, in the sense that it's familiar snippets of the old piece strewn about a completely new mix. It gives that perfect balance of old and new, which is what is so captivating about the Piano Collections pieces, and girl, did you NAIL it. Kudos once again. :D

  • @MisterVercetti I especially love that about the FFX Piano Collections and that's exactly what I aspire to do with all my covers. It means so, so much to hear that. Thank you <3

  • @waltzforluma I agree! I think that's why i fell in love with the piano collections.

  • I cant stop listening to this. your doing soo well please dont stop.

  • this version of To Zanarkand is so different yet very nice and relaxing.. :D great job! it's really beautiful.. :3

  • You rule girl! Keep it up!

  • Great sound, wish there was a video but still, love the piano sound of your 700NX :D

  • wow! at first all i saw was "ffx - zanarkand" and thought i was gonna be just another to zanarkand cover... but then i clicked and wasn't! awesome arrangement, it's definitely your piece but enough to zanarkand elements in it to be wonderfully familiar. also, you're really pretty.

  • @skylinefourfifteen Thank you so much... :]

  • thank you for this :)

  • what can I say...just simply amazing ^_^ is there an official Aivi album somewhere?

  • Exceptional as always. 'To Zanarkand' is one of my favorite Nobuo Uematsu tracks, and your take is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

  • I still find this amazing and i get soo jealous cuz i want to be good like you, but i dont have the gift to play like this, so be thankful you are able to play. =)

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • i was watching this on mute getting ready to turn up the volume and i thought this was an actual video, and i thought "when is she going to start???"

  • I just can't say anything else beyond what I've said before, you have such amazing playing.

  • This is so beautiful.

  • You are one of my favoruite pianists at the moment. Like seriously, up there with all the internationally famous concert playing ones. Your music pretty much got me through my AS Level exams in May and June. I can't thankyou enough.

  • An amazing arangement! As a fellow pianist, I applaud you.

Will you ever be selling sheet music? I'm interested in learning how to play this. :)

  • So freaking awesome :)

  • Magnificent!

  • i'm usually iffy when people do covers of songs, especially game music. i don't particularly like this song either... but this is easily my favorite rendition of it. really really wish there was a video, but i totally understand your logic behind sacrificing videos.

  • beautifully arranged and played. (:

  • I have to say, I didn't hear much of To Zanarkand for a while, but then it became more apparent. However, the fact that you can take a song and make a song that still has some of the melody but totally different is amazing to me. This was really beautiful.

  • Wow. Absolutely beautiful! This is a great piano piece. You keep on doing great, luma! I subscribed a long time ago, and still glad that I did. :)

I don't exactly like it as much as To Zanarkand, but it is still great, because "To Zanarkand" is a masterpiece already. :)

    Keep up the great work.

  • her piano is so good, she doesnt even have to move her hands :)

  • Love this!

  • That was amazing.

  • ...i'm at a loss for words because this is soooo good.

  • Beautiful!

  • The beginning of this piece has a vibe that makes me think of the title theme from Metroid Prime every time I hear it. It makes a pretty epic mashup in my brain. Occasionally it throws in some of Magus' theme from Chrono Trigger in there too. It isn't just a great arrangement, it takes you places.

  • I love your work so much! You should definitely do some more medleys and ESPECIALLY them Zelda pieces ;D. Keep up the FANTASTIC work. (PS: I really do miss the videos D:)

  • Beautiful.

  • Fantastic!

  • That was awesome! i just wish I had been able to see you! Did you play this all at once or piece it together? I'm just wondering why there was no video :) I know they take work but if you recorded this, you could have filmed it haha. Good work anyway!! Great to hear an upload from you :)

  • I always love your original compositions or renditions....they make me feel like im lost somewhere...but im at peace

It's an unusual feeling...but it's quite enjoyable at the same time....good job...please keep posting!!

  • Dang everytime i find the next song i want to learn your videos make me want to learn the song your performing instead.

  • This sounds amazing, you think you would post the sheets for this? =]

  • Fantastic as always!

  • Loved it. I would have liked to see a video of you playing it, but it is still an amazing piece. :)

  • Well done! I'm always so impressed by your supurb control of dynamics and expression, and this original cover piece shows them off very well! Your playing is great, please continue.

  • Dang.. this is beautiful.

  • wow that was awesome, listening to it made me feel like I was looking at zanarkand at its twilight

  • This sounds like somethin outta kingdom hearts

  • Amazing work. I was kinda cringing to the fact that "to Zanarkand" has been covered for millions of times over, but this one was something completely different. I adore the jazzy twist and the magnificent ending. Very beautiful.

I kinda miss the video though, but I guess you can discard anything that hinders your productivity.

  • I loved the rhythmic fluorishes, the sixteenth note triplets scattered around and that classy minor 9 cadence. Your arrangement style is just too beautiful Aivi ^_^

  • love it :)

  • What a beautiful arrangement... way better than my version! It's really admirable how you can come up with something like this in a few hours. I have a hard time on those things! Oh and, awesome use of the pedal. It's all really well thought ^:^

  • this reminds me of kyle landry's dearly beloved 2010 remix for some reason. if the characters in FFX were children, this is what it would sound like :) i can so picture SD versions of them running around chasing each other in the zanarkand ruins lol

  • sick i found another great arranger to add to my list

  • You are soo amazing at what you do i love it its soo professional. its also really calming and beautiful. please dont stop what your doing your soo good at it. <3

  • incredible stuff as usual =) i've come to expect nothing less of the aivi standard

  • Really creative :) Excellent stuff!

  • If you're going to post more this way, then keep doing with no video o/

  • I was not looking forward to yet another cover of "To Zanarkand". HOWEVER, I found myself listening to this unique arrangement! Should have known that even what is overplayed can achieve a new level of awesomeness when Aivi Tran decides to work on it!

  • To Zanarkand is one of my favorite themes from FF's.. And this arrangement is simply great! Hah, I'd like to hear an arrangement of Nobuo Uemtsu's Search For The Princess from FF9.

  • I kinda have to say, I feel like you could've expanded more away from zanarkand and made this an original piece! That being said this is an absolutely beautiful piece, and its kind of inspiring a song in my head now :)

  • Normally I would say that this is great, but it is kind of your normal level. All of your creations are really good and I am comparing what you are doing to your videos not just anything that you can find here on YT.

  • The whole video i was wait for her to start playing then i was like ohhh snap..

  • no video? :O :(

  • @joeisnice It takes me months to practice for a video, yet only hours to come up with an arrangement... I figure if I sacrifice the videos now and then, I can cover more songs!

  • @waltzforluma love the idea! As long as you keep covering songs, it just makes my day just to here you play.

  • @waltzforluma: what do you mean by practice for a video? you had to record the sound, why not just turn a camera on too while recording?

  • @waltzforluma It doesn't need a video....if I can't see it, I'm free to create the magic in my mind....

  • @waltzforluma

    but we wants video!

  • @waltzforluma Makes sense

  • first I was like :), then I was like :O <3

I would really, really, really love sheet music of this, it's so much more alive than the Piano Collections version!

  • This song tells me: "Im different... but still beautiful in my own way, and in the end... I'm just the same as you."

Thank You for this Powerful Arrangment.

  • I don't say this often but, Impressed!! To be honest, you could've easily passed this off as an original, there was only a few parts that were recognizable from To Zanarkand. It just goes to show how awesome you are. Great work. Consider me one of your fans. :)

  • Beautiful as always. I have to say I really miss the old window setup, though.

  • This is beast, good arrangement! ;)

  • wow this is so powerful yet so beautiful.. I loved it so much! :)

  • Wow this take on the song is amazing so different but just amazing, amazing as always :)

  • You did a good job making it sound like "you" but still maintaining the main elements that make the original piece memorable. I was listening to the original just earlier today, and I like what you've done with it. Good work as always.

  • This is phenomenal. What a refreshing take on Zanarkand... Thanks Aivi.

  • you need to upload vids more often please!

  • I’ve always had a special connection to solo piano music, but never really knew where to start. As a 17-year-old I often had trouble finding piano music to listen to, as nobody in my circle knew anything about it, either. It’s just perfect that you have compiled this collection of my favorite music. I’m so happy when I listen to your music!

  • Once again, you never fail to amaze me :D

  • 無論美の化身。

  • My favorite piano song, just made better.

  • very classic yet fresh. love it :]

  • Wonderful! I really enjoyed it =).

  • Creative and well executed! Love what you have done with this rendition! =)

  • I absolutely love this. Completely different take on an already beautiful song.

  • I'm feeling so nostalgic right now. That was an amazing cover of probably my favorite childhood game :)

  • @StephenPotterMusic Mine too :D

  • @StephenPotterMusic childhood game? man i feel old...

a throwback to ff7 or ff8 would be appreciated by many im sure :D
