@pcgamesolution it happened to someone i know, its where he had the clutch practically grabbed already and revved to like 5,000rpm then dumped the clutch in 2nd gear and wasnt spinning tires, he was burning the clutch, if u wanna spin tires, just have the clutch all the way in and dump the clutch in 1st, unless you have something that is powerful enough to spin the wheels without a clutch dump.

I have a rear wheel drive vw van (motor in the rear). I might have done this trying to start on a hill today (may have been the handbrake too, IDK). The smoke was coming out of the rear. Was it the clutch or the handbrake? If its the clutch, do i need to replace it? Since the motor is in the rear (still rwd though), wouldn't smoke from a burned clutch come from the rear?

no those stock clutches are weak as hell. they barely handle stock power levels. its actually kinda easy to do with a stock clutch if you do not completely side step the clutch. if you're slow about clutch release at all it'll slip till you disengage it. I just put a southbend stage 3 in mine and I haven't felt 1 little bit of slip yet!

umm, bite the clutch, u mean kick? actually what you do is you start in first, hold clutch rev high, (but not too high 4 too long) let off the clutch and do a brakestand while on the gas.

Ok, so, lemme figure this out. Driven manual all my driving life (3 years =P) and I have never smelled burned clutch. I am really careful when launching and swapping the cogs under full throttle.

In this video the dude, started letting the clutch out, tires gripped too much,clutch started spinning, then let the clutch out all the way and floored it, but the whole time the clutch was still spinning...right? (God I'll never understand retards.)
