I saw saltimbanco live in wisconsin a couple years back and it is amazing. The acts, the music. Truely Cirque du Soleil's best show. I wish they'd make a new bluray because the acts have improved so much over the old DVD they shot more than a decade ago.

This song called Amazonia is definitely sung by Francine Poitras. She briefly returned to sing Saltimbanco in Brazil and Argentina in 2006. It is interesting to compare the original version with this version to see how interesting the voice matured with time.

Isaw this act of the 29th july, so two days ago and when you are watchin them swing bak and forth then jumpin above the audiance it is breath takin as you think they will fall but they get their timing perfect, i loved this act and the whole cirque x

This was not part of any DVD I have seen so my question is was this recorded by one of the performers or by Cirque themselves? Cause I want to see the musical ending to the show that they don't show on the TV (it was great to see it live!)

Odds are is that it was shot illegally by a spectator and you probably won't see the ending unless someone illegally films it or they happen to film a new DVD now that the show is on an arena tour, but there are no plans to do that and it is very unlikely.

just saw this today - it's great to see it up close but what you don't really get from the video is how high they are - they were just feet from the ceiling of our 30,000 person arena - I actually screamed when she dropped and grabbed her hand, it was unbelievable!

Where? I just saw it last night at the Qwest Center in Omaha and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! The duo trapeze, or the act in this video, was one of my favorite acts in the whole show! You'll love it! Get there about 15-30 minutes early...some of the performers come out and mess around, in character of course, with audience members before the show starts. It's a BLAST!

It's either Chantal Blanchard or Francine Poitras, as they were the ones performing in December 2006.

It sounds like Francine to me, but since I haven't heard Chantal yet I'm not sure, so don't quote me on it ;)

Its definitely Francine singing the lead vocal in this performance . I know this because I was head of sound for Saltimbanco from 98 to 2006 .

Francine was the original singer when the show was created .

The vocal parts were written for her voice.

Chantal Blanchard is still touring with Saltimbanco .

Both singers have enchanting voices .
