SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I play on my Xbox 360 (slim) quite a lot and it freezes every now and then. Some months it freezes and others it doesn't. It is on multiple games and all of my games are installed on the hard drive. Is it the hard drive or is my Xbox overheating? I have not had any red rings. SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY IF YOU KNOW.

@Mrvideosandgames the static in the air makes electronics malfunction sometimes, more so in the winter... also if your hard drive is near capacity it will freak out, dont know why but it happened when i had a 120GB drive

@christopherfagan My hard drive isn't nearly full. I've got over 100GB left. It freezes every now and then all year round and I have one of those houses which never seems to drop below 15 celsius in the winter at night. Once it dropped down to 12 but the boiler's heating times hadn't been changed at that time and also that was before I got my Xbox. My broadband drops out everynow and then and that isn't the Xbox dropping out. It is the broadband dropping out. Could losing connection be related?

@Mrvideosandgames it could be reltated ue to the xbox having to change the game settings and junk when the the broadband disconnects from the xbox but its highly unlikely, you may just be starting to have harddrive issues, if it gets any worse you may want to send it in... im having problems with XBL recently after that update... any infoon that one?

thanks for posting this message I just won a XBOX 360 250 GB when they sent us out the XBOX 360 they sent out the 4GB instead of the 250....they told us to keep the 4 GB and that they would be sending out the XBOX 360 250 GB on Thursday....then I got an email saying that they were just going to send a Xbox 360 S Hard Drive 250 GB to replace the 4 GB hard drive that came with the console you received last week so I am glad this video is on here so that I can see how to add the 250 GB hard drive!!

@likeabossyer Yes you can, but it has to be an original Microsoft-branded HDD. If it came with your Xbox 360 or you bought it at an official retail store, then probaly it is.

@mochillaz Then you don't have a hard drive. The regular Xbox's only come with 4 gigs. You have to get the over-priced insane ones to get a hard drive, or buy one separately.

@SiamandBarzani No they are not compatible with each other. The slim hard drive is much smaller. You'll have to transfer your memory from one to the other.

@SiamandBarzani they're physically in different enclosures, but they are the same drive. they're both a 2.5" sata drive with special firmware. I gutted my old 360 hard drive and slipped it into an enclosure i got on ebay (look up 360 slim hard drive case) and it works perfectly. if you want to do the same, just find a guide on youtube on how to take apart the old 360 hard drive, and get an enclosure on ebay for around $10. save some money like i did.
