@IAPOD the game has a really fun campaign, that you can also play 2 player splitscreen. You can only play single player per console for the online, but the online is pretty good except it's not very well synchronized. The gameplay is stellar in this LOTR:Conquest, merging elements of the characters and skills you'd see in any modern MMO with an action deathmatch style.

The fact that it's a deathmatch game is hindered by the fact that the game online modes get stale.

@IAPOD MMORPG, like wow and guild wars. It takes from the way they set up their skills, like time it takes to recharge attacks, balancing abilities and AOE(area of effect). It's a fun game worth a couple weeks renting. I rented it when it was brand new, it got stale in a couple weeks of hardcore play.

@pppeeeppplll They shut down the servers for this game permenately in March because EA thought the game wasn't "conductive" enough as there other games are. Alot of other games had that happen as well, like Mercenaries 2 and Godfather 2. It sucks. Now the only way to play this game with other people is in splitscreen. : (

@4nero4danta What they "should" have done, is finish "The White Council", rather than cancelling it - if you don't know what it is; it was basically an oblivion esc. open world RPG with the entirety of Middle Earth recreated in stunning detail; but it was scrapped about half-way through it's development...no clue why.

Sounds like an awesome game. I loved battlefronts and I love Tolkiens's books, but mages!? LoTR didn't have any "mages". Lots of people could use mundane magic, like Aragorn calming the horse in the stables. Of coarse, there were the wizards, but I thought there were only like, four of them? Gandalf, Saurumon, Tom Bombadil and the Brown wizard (forget his name). If anyone knows any better, please, enlighten me :)

good campain has-helms deep, isen, moria, osgilliath, minas tirith, pellenor fields, minas morgal, and black gate.

evil campain has-mount doom, osgilliath (i think), minas tirith, weathertop, rivendel, and shire. i might have missed some for evil cuz i dont play that campain much.
