just realized how little i knew about Leslie, b4 i watched this film's theme song recently, my impression on him is just an idol singer in 80s that drove the teenage girls crazy, or a stylish artist that always made innovation on the concert stage. But he managed to master this traditional Chinese opera as well. Can't even imagine he can made such a high pitch voice and play as a beautiful girl so naturally. Now I understand why his fans are so sad after he committed suicide.

leslie cheung is a great actor, not only in this film. i agree with u. i loved his acting here, so natural, so sensitive. everyone acted really well, i admire all of them.

@lavenderblossom I do not know, I think the "Concubine" is (the boy who act it) but I am not sure. This movie is great but really confusing and freaking at once. I am between BRILLIANT and DISTURBING.

@Marvinpoo the "Concubine" definitely is. The "King" seems to have feeling for him as well due to his feminine appearance and they started learning opera since childhood.

He had an extra finger on the side of his hand. The Opera Troupe master wouldn't accept him that way because he said that the boy would "scare away" customers.
