  • probablement le passage le plus intense de toute les symphonies de Brahms.

    mon favori en tout cas.

  • I totally agree with both comments. Sensational

  • This is amazing!

  • I love Furtwangler passionately, but to my ears Weingartner is even finer in Brahms (Furtwangler is a little too eager to always be dramatic and pulls some passages out of their proper shape). But in this symphony, I think even Weingartner has to take a back seat to Bruno Walter.

  • Felix Weitgartner was a great conductor. Obviously, those who enjoy Brahms' music owe to themselves to hear Furtwangler's renditions too.

  • Furtwangler's interpretations for Brahms is full of power and energy as his Beethoven version. I guess Beethoven couldn't leave his mind!!

  • This is my introduction to Weingartner and his marvelous interpretation of the 3rd. To think that he very likely heard Brahms himself conduct this work! The 70-year-old recording has remarkable frequency and dynamic response. Very listenable indeed.

  • I Know!

  • @CarlosFinch That is the truth.... This is the real Brahms!!! You are right....and I am wondering, why now, some conductors wont to create some "new Brahms"....
