Nothing happens in America because the Goverment allowed white collar criminals (banks) to steal the money and homes of the innocent. Then they rewarded them with billions of dollars.

We bailed out the Irish banks with our taxes therefore the Government is doing what it can to help us.Why is it not happening in America?

Is it because you are a large 52 state country?Does it matter in Washington what happens in Iowa or elsewhere 500 miles away?Is that the problem?

Irish Government is more or less afraid of its people as we are only a small 1state country.Is that the difference?

Hi there,Ireland has a over housing supply problem and foreclosures may happen as Ireland is in financial trouble.1 in 8 mortgages are in arrears over 90 days.However Irish banks deliberately very slow to foreclose are only too willing renegotiate pay terms.Lost my plumbing job and could not keep up €600 pm repayments.I had only 5yrs to go.

Having fought with lender they reset the payments.€185 pm for the next 23yrs so now pay more interest to Banks..some nerve!

Yep, Wall St. criminals can blow up the economy forcing you to lose your livehood. The house you've poured blood, sweat and tears can be seized AS IS by the fucking banks. How fair is that?
