@something9313 Just fiction. In Crown Prince they've shown poor Taaffe as a radically conservative asshole who would want to see Austria back in medieval ways and archduke Rudolf dead, what is very very not tue.
While I normally love Uwe, he is REALLY evil in this. I have not yet seen this musical in its entirety and, frankly, I only know Austrian history from the musical Elisabeth *blushes* Is that Taaffe person really supposed to be that evil? Why is he trying to strangle Rudolf? Is he trying to scare Rudolf or get Rudolf to obey him as well? Oh, and I saw Drew Saraich live as Count VK in January in the Rauncher production of Tanz! :D XD
@mimineko828 I'm not really sure if he was EVIL (but he wasn't nice), but he was the counterpart of Rudolf.
While Rudolf was liberal, Taffe wasn't. Important to say that this scene is Rudolf's nightmare (u see the bodies handeg?) so this is probably the reason why Taaffe is acting in a more exagerate way. Geez, to few carac. to explain
And I totally envy you! I was in Berlin, I went to Vienna for only a day to see Drew and was Alexander di Capri. Ok, I love Alexander but Drew is one of my favs.
@mimineko828 I'm not sure if it's all in youtube, but I guess you can see it. If you want I have a way to donwload it in .ISO, but is a very long way 8D (and, before some white knight comes... I'll buy this DVD, but unfortunetly I had to choose between Rudolf DVD and Hinterm Horizont in Berlim and, since I'm Serkan's fan, I decided to see Hinterm <3)

Another example that shows how much overrated Uwe Kröger is. He is really likeable, but he can't sing properly and his "acting" skills are horrible. Sorry.
Exactly! For me it's the best song in the whole musical, but on the DVD it is filmed awful. There is so much stuff Uwe does with his hands during the scene, you see NOTHING of it!
I just got the DVD last night and was completely amazed. The way the camera would revolve around the actors onstage was astounding. The sets and the costumes were brilliant. Usually I'm not a big Wildhorn fan - but, this show has so many great songs (despite the fact they recycled "Only Love" - come on Frank, you could've written another ballad! :-) None the less, the DVD is such a treat for fans of VBW in the States.
2:26 sieht voll brutal aus xDD

Frank Wildhorn muss man mögen denn er komponiert nicht gerade leichte Kost. Sonst mag man das Musical wahrscheinlich nicht.

Oddly enough, at the end when he screamed "Mary", I thought of the Barbarella scream....lol.

Thanks for the video!
The staging is really odd here, but it's still interesting. I love this song so much!
