  • j eatais a cette representation juane anderson etait divine mais r.blake etait une vrais casserole car quend il n y a pas de vocalises sa voix est vraiment tres laide

  • I don't like this, but maybe I should check the lyrics. Was Elvira so cruelly unthinking as to mock a woman in mourning with a wedding gift? Selfish exuberance!

  • so surprised and happy to see and hear this!

  • So exceptionnal; Thank you for posting. I was there and I will never forget the impact of her voice. I heard her at the Morgan Library in NYC a month ago, stll a great artist. Thank you June!!!!!

  • Thanks so much for this video ; I thought there was no video of these Puritani ; I was there ( 23 years old at hat time ) and I felt definitely in love with June Anderson after this representation at the Opera Comique ; She ws unbelievable ; it's difficult to imagine the impact of her voice "live" ; just to be elswhere

  • Pour donner un exemple du mot "perfection" dans un dictionnaire de chant, il faudrait y citer cet extrait. Inouï. Merci June.

  • Please also post some tenor arias

  • June sang Elvira at Covent garden in the early 90s and was magnificent

  • Bloody impressive singing.

  • Even with the ropey sound quality this comes over as very fine singing from Anderson - and she really cathces the girlish excitement of Elvira also, both in her acting and in the coloratura variations - I wonder how she managed the transition to tragedy later in the act ? Thanks for posting
