He certainly does know his stuff. Coming down the hill between the summit and Westside Junction he really had that old teakettle moving.
And you turned down a job there? Heck, I live two-and-a-half hours away and I seriously considered working there over the summer! You must've had one heck of an alternative offer.
Sadly I didn't. I applied in April really looking for a summer part-time thing because my summer class schedule would only allow a 4-day week and not the the 5-day week they wanted. Then the week before I was to leave Santa Cruz (I'm a UCSC student) I got a call saying the person they had left and that they were (suddenly!) more willing to negotiate with the scheduling... but by that time getting housing on such short notice was next to impossible. Ugh.
Loved it! Mr. Shreve is perhaps one of the nicest engineers I've met.
I almost worked there over summer... starting to think that was a mistake!
