There is another celebration like his where many other ethnic groups (North South, East, West) come to together all in Addis at the stadium and each group represents themselves in a performance. Although i have yet to see it, I am sure it would be great.

This is soooooo nice! man I can feel the energy through the video...the people are KRUNK! Also it's nice to see the people and cultures of the south which are rarely exhibited!
Thank you very much for posting this video...it really helps me understand how diverse Ethiopia is! I really had no idea!
Some of the most amazing music and dance is made by the poorest people on earth. If they can see the material value of their culture then they will be encouraged to nurture it and have an alternative to the constant pressure to conform to the global consumer economy.
@1000starsfest what is amezing about this other than being a music/dance of the ethnic people refred, i respect it that way, but there is nothing amezing and it is something you will not watch it more than 1 time..the melody is not catchy and artistclyt is not exciting so its value is anthrpological and cultral not artisic so is not amezing
We have a 20 minute film of the festival and more footage of all the performers -this is a tiny taster.
Global Music Exchange is working to set up ways of making traditional music and dance available to the world, whilst getting the proceeds directly back to the performers.
Beautiful, touching, full of hope. Thanks
