I've been doing the flat twist headband because of this video. I have noticed that if I don't stick my finger far enough through, the twist is not "centered."-referring to method number one. 'cause method number two is still a hot mess for me. ;-) thanks so much for this vid!!!

Thanks so much for this tutorial Ms. Laila. I tried your first method last night and it was easier to smooth and keep my hair untangled. For some reason the middle of my head was a challenge so I incorporated your second method into my routine and the results were much better. I'm a righty, but my flat twists naturally go the other way. :-( Actually, I was born a lefty, and was forced out of it. You should've seen me trying to twist the other direction to copy your last fab updo vid (and I did a fabulous job in the end, if I do say so, aside from ripping out a little hair at first, :-()

i twist my left side counterclockwise and my right side clockwise ... its not that hard for me but i wonder if thats why when i take them out they so much different... idk

my problem is that I naturally twist counter clockwise with my right handed method so it is going in the wrong direction. So I have to make a conscious effort to do it backwards. method 2 works best for me because of this that way I can be certain i start picking up hair with the roll going in the right direction.

I can flat twist a little.. But it always comes out ugly and ragged looking.. I'm sad.. :( And I don't see how a lot of naturals can do it. I can't see to do it (especially on dry hair.. It feels like I'm ripping my hair). *_*
