The anime was licensed by Geneon back in the mid 00s but the company went bankrupt in 2007, noone's rescued the anime yet from them.

The age demographic is like 20+. There's elements of Sex, Rape, Murder, Extreme Gore, Drug Use by the Mangaka.

It doesn't make a shitload of sense. Goes from being EPIC to EPIC FAIL at the midway point. And in the anime, even tho Masataka is considered the only one who doesn't progress, by the end of the Manga, he's like the strongest character, period. Yeah.. that includes being stronger than Bunshichi. And he's badass.

@SuperArsho there is no season 2, this is quite an old anime, last I checked, the manga is still going. They do this a lot, they make an anime based on a manga, and stop it at an annoying cliff hanger, just to make people want to read the manga. so far I've seen it used with this, Air Gear, Beserk, Flame of Recca and Vampire Knight. Also with Rosario+Vampire, that had a second season but half way through it ended up having nothing to do with the manga. Just Read Tenjou Tenge the manga
