This sort of thing is horribly lacking in the music industry nowadays. It always has been, now that I think about it. There needs to be more music like this, doesn't there?

@kidssj789 There is. You gotta look deeper than the radio. Also you have to broaden your music search outside of one or two genres. Rock, "Pop Rock", "Christian" Rock all have pretty decent songs. They are not stories but they have a real and deep meaning.

Check Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static, Red, Skillet, Flyleaf, Ra, Egypt Central, Adelitas Way(sort of), Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, Decyfer Down, Creed, Five For Fighting, Fuel, Linkin Park (sort of). Mostly Rock.

@socomfan555 I know Mike Shinoda is from LP, thats how I found Fort Minor. As for the rest of the stuff, it is a rock/metal genre. Skillet's last album has been hailed in mainstream rock, but many of their older fans were felt wronged, not really sure, just gotta listen to it.

Watch out though as some of their songs and albums are straight prais albums. And if you go back before 2000 they had a weird sound.
