@Bermanator149 You tried to fuck with me on the wrong night, buddy. 1 I don't play drums with my watch on. 2 who the hell are you to tell what to do and what not to do? 3 I'm 17 now and recorded this along time ago. 4 Who the hell do you think you are? trying to talk shit over the internet to someone who was little at the time. You're a big man! finally you don't even have any videos up, and I guarantee that this video has more views than any video you'll ever upload will have.
@MoreThanLuck you just wasted like 6 minutes responding and going to that dude's channel so you can look like a badass. that is just pathetic in my opinion.
@choonk122 6 minutes? Are you kidding me? like I said, he tried messing with me on the wrong day. Who the hell comes on to someones video and talk shit for no reason? I wasn't trying to "look like a badass", but I'm not gonna sit by and have some douche talk to me like that. And I don't care if you think it was pathetic. You just wasted your time commenting on something you weren't involved in.
@MeinlBoy1 Just my opinion, but I think the snare is tuned fine. It's the fact that the wires are tensioned too tightly, which on it's own provides some sort of dampening effect. Adding Moon Gel is a little overkill (again, just my opinion).
@iiXxBeAStlYxX I made this video to show the differences between the sound of the snare with the moongel and without the moongel. I don't know how you can like the other one better, but to each his own. This was closer to how I wanted the sound, and obviously you like it differently. Also I didn't understand tuning that well before.
Why would you want something like that bigger? And they leave marks on coated heads after a while. I have marks on my snare head! :,( just get dampening rings!!
@NathannRamirez As I said in the video, various sizes would create varying aspects of dampening. ie. Bigger pad = more dampened. I have been using one on my snare since the day I got it (like 3 years ago), and I still have no marks on it as a result of the pad. I use Rings on my toms occasionally.
@MeinlBoy1 Well, that's something called an opinion. You may think that way, but others might think differently. Everyone has different opinions. My opinion was that I wanted my snare to sound similar to that. So that's why I did it.
@TaffyRaphie Because it increases the surface area, therefor it increases the amount it dampers. Why don't you think next time before you type out a comment?
@MoreThanLuck why don't you just put on more than one? obviously not everyone would want it to be uber dampered. Seems fine to me, but hey I'm a N00B aren't I?
@TaffyRaphie Well, I never called you a NOOB, but whatever. Also, I suggested they came in various sizes, because like you said, some people like it dampened differently. Jeez, maybe you aren't a "N00B" but you ARE an annoying 15 year old. "N00B"? "UBER"? Who do you think you are? And so sensitive...
@Godza1602 Thanks Man! seriously, I know its not the greatest, but this was recorded sooo long ago.. And why is it necessary to say how bad the tuning is? also, an update to this video is coming in about a week.
@Jesse4Jezza Yeah, but like you said this is much more clean and efficient. And also it was designed for drumming. That alone makes me choose this over tack, a wallet, or duct tape right there.
I have noticed that you like drums do u? well with drums you need to smack them with your stick......mmmm your mother likes sticks to...my stick.....noob
@DjABBlends it might be your snare, it all depends on your snare. this guy ^^^^ doesnt need it, with it on it sounds like paper but on my kit it rings too much so with it on its sound great.
to make them more effective on the snare put them on the bottom head of the snare right NEXT to the snares, its where the snares HITS that needs to be dampened, u can put 5 gels on the top and bearly get a difference, i put one on top and one on bottom of each tom and snare becuase both sides vibrate.
@MrSnazman18 Actually, the point of these moongels is to reduce overtones, just like any damper ring... And by placing it on top of the drum, that is precisely what it does. The overtones that you hear off the snare in particular come ONLY from the top of the drum, not the bottom

did u wash it in water or with washing up liqid n water?
and yes, theyre disigned small so they stay out of the way.
and you can cut them into smaller chunks as well if you dont want the full bit on. it also lessens the damper effect the less u have on.
i have moongel, and i onoy use half a piece on my toms, and none on my snare at all.
