  • @PabkPabk Haha well you wouldn't know what the difference sounded like BEFORE the video, so AFTER the video you knew something new. THAT is learning.

  • My name is Sir Ian the Third. I come from a long breed of champions. My father owns a stable in the Alps. My watch is made from the purest of gold.

  • @iansuxxzz That's DOCTOR Sir Ian the Third to you.

  • they could be cheeper for the price???? that makes no sense

  • youre wearing your watch on the wrong hand

  • @EkulCreation Hahaha! No, you can wear a watch on either hand. I find it to be more comfortable.

  • @EkulCreation I keep my watch in my pocket. :P

  • @Songwriter4God So do I when I'm drumming.

  • @MoreThanLuck No, I do all the time. :P It makes my wrist itchy, hate it, so does my dad, and my uncle. :P

  • @Songwriter4God Oh. Well I like wearing a watch. As long as I'm not drumming.

  • @MoreThanLuck Why? IT doesn't get in the way or anything, it's on your arm. /confused

  • @Songwriter4God It just bothers me, all shakin' around and such.

  • @MoreThanLuck Oh. :P

  • @Songwriter4God lol!

  • I have the new video up on my channel, and as a video response! See my new snare, see the new me and complain once again!

  • UPLOADING MY RESPONSE VIDEO!

  • Snare players don't wear fancy watches you little kid...

  • @Bermanator149 You tried to fuck with me on the wrong night, buddy. 1 I don't play drums with my watch on. 2 who the hell are you to tell what to do and what not to do? 3 I'm 17 now and recorded this along time ago. 4 Who the hell do you think you are? trying to talk shit over the internet to someone who was little at the time. You're a big man! finally you don't even have any videos up, and I guarantee that this video has more views than any video you'll ever upload will have.

  • @MoreThanLuck you just wasted like 6 minutes responding and going to that dude's channel so you can look like a badass. that is just pathetic in my opinion.

  • @choonk122 6 minutes? Are you kidding me? like I said, he tried messing with me on the wrong day. Who the hell comes on to someones video and talk shit for no reason? I wasn't trying to "look like a badass", but I'm not gonna sit by and have some douche talk to me like that. And I don't care if you think it was pathetic. You just wasted your time commenting on something you weren't involved in.

  • @MoreThanLuck hey man, its what i do

  • @choonk122 ...Okay?

  • @MoreThanLuck i love you

  • @choonk122 Why wouldn't you?

  • @MoreThanLuck penis

  • @choonk122 I have one of those.

  • it sounds like your snare is a little choked try loosening the snares

  • @MUSKAO95 I don't use this snare anymore.

  • @MeinlBoy1 Just my opinion, but I think the snare is tuned fine. It's the fact that the wires are tensioned too tightly, which on it's own provides some sort of dampening effect. Adding Moon Gel is a little overkill (again, just my opinion).

  • yeah.....rings are better

  • @iiXxBeAStlYxX I made this video to show the differences between the sound of the snare with the moongel and without the moongel. I don't know how you can like the other one better, but to each his own. This was closer to how I wanted the sound, and obviously you like it differently. Also I didn't understand tuning that well before.

  • @MeinlBoy1 That's an opinion.

  • I'm going to put an updated video with my new snare in it soon.

  • @MoreThanLuck From the Moongels.

  • @NathannRamirez Oh. Well obviously I've heard of that happening, but I have never had that happen to me.

  • @MoreThanLuck Yeah, I don't know why my toms get marks! My toms have marks all over them!

  • @NathannRamirez From the Moongels? Or from hitting them?

  • @MoreThanLuck is it called moongel in all languages? xD

  • @Nitram916 Based on how many different places this video has been posted, maybe!

  • Why would you want something like that bigger? And they leave marks on coated heads after a while. I have marks on my snare head! :,( just get dampening rings!!

  • @NathannRamirez As I said in the video, various sizes would create varying aspects of dampening. ie. Bigger pad = more dampened. I have been using one on my snare since the day I got it (like 3 years ago), and I still have no marks on it as a result of the pad. I use Rings on my toms occasionally.

  • @MeinlBoy1 I like a very focused snare sound.. What you like isn't going to be what everyone likes.

  • @MeinlBoy1 Well, that's something called an opinion. You may think that way, but others might think differently. Everyone has different opinions. My opinion was that I wanted my snare to sound similar to that. So that's why I did it.

  • Tune your snare higher!!! It will sound so much better.

  • @tigersbeastify I have a new snare now hahaha!

  • when washing leave them in warm water for an hour or so, and rinse them off, gets rid of all dirt

  • what if you put more than one on????

  • @FailxscopeZ It dampens more?

  • why the fuck would you want them to be BIGGER?

  • @TaffyRaphie Because it increases the surface area, therefor it increases the amount it dampers. Why don't you think next time before you type out a comment?

  • @MoreThanLuck why don't you just put on more than one? obviously not everyone would want it to be uber dampered. Seems fine to me, but hey I'm a N00B aren't I?

  • @TaffyRaphie Well, I never called you a NOOB, but whatever. Also, I suggested they came in various sizes, because like you said, some people like it dampened differently. Jeez, maybe you aren't a "N00B" but you ARE an annoying 15 year old. "N00B"? "UBER"? Who do you think you are? And so sensitive...

  • @MoreThanLuck chill. I just wanted to know why bigger would be better.

  • @TaffyRaphie Yeah, I'm losing my cool when you comment: "why the fuck would you want them to be BIGGER?" Like I said; Think before you type.

  • This snare sounds good wtf

  • @Thecrazymetalhead1 Thanks man hahaha!

  • You need to tighten the top and bottom head of your snare.

  • Hahahaha! This snare sounds shitty with or without that gel!

  • @Godza1602 Thanks Man! seriously, I know its not the greatest, but this was recorded sooo long ago.. And why is it necessary to say how bad the tuning is? also, an update to this video is coming in about a week.

  • Amazingly, Blue-Tack works the exact same as Moongels. Not as clean or efficient, but they pretty well do the same job.

  • @Jesse4Jezza Yeah, but like you said this is much more clean and efficient. And also it was designed for drumming. That alone makes me choose this over tack, a wallet, or duct tape right there.

  • the tuning is not that bad ... wtf is wrong with you trolls...

  • can i also put this on my toms? and where can i buy?

  • Hello sir,

I have noticed that you like drums do u? well with drums you need to smack them with your stick......mmmm your mother likes sticks to...my stick.....noob

    Sincerley,

    Mega PooBerry

  • nice watch kid :)

  • Best $5 I've ever spent.

  • learn how to tune ur drums and make a new vid.

  • @elconijo I'll try to have that up in a day or two.

  • How much come in a packet??? 

  • @DamienChuit 4 I think

  • pleas learn to tune ;)

  • @oneworld504 Done.

  • @dawnuld

    Oh gee thanks bro.

  • dang. your snare sounds horrible.

  • Oh lord! 10,000 views!! Thanks guys!

  • tune snare better! its to dry and dead.

i think by moongels makes your snare sound worst

  • @DjABBlends it might be your snare, it all depends on your snare. this guy ^^^^ doesnt need it, with it on it sounds like paper but on my kit it rings too much so with it on its sound great.

  • i love snare overtones. screw muffling. i want to see it on the toms.

  • @jwaldman69 Thanks. This is an old snare of mine. I didn't know how to tune yet either.

  • your snare sounds like shit anyway

  • i put mine inside the head...?

  • washing it isnt meant to take the sirt off its meant to make it sticky again, it worked for me somehow

  • "They are sort of small, They're not really too big." THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!

  • 4 out of 5? bro..for the quality of your drums itd give them a 5/5..they help alot

  • @AlexSmyth0o It's not based on the improvement of the sound, it's based on the overall product. But thanks for the suggestion!

  • @MoreThanLuck

    - use soap when cleaning and dirt comes off easily

  • your snare sounds like balls

  • @69McBoosh This isn't my snare now, I might post a video of my new snare I got for Christmas last year, if you guys want it.

  • Tried to steal your watch.

  • you should use more than one on each head

  • @CaptCinnabon Too much dampening! At least for me lol.

  • Snare still sounds mingin

  • @FridgeRaider1993 Yup I know that snare was really bad. But it's still an improvement.

  • @FridgeRaider1993 But I like mingin snares!

  • whre i can buy them i am from guayaquil,ecuadr ?

  • @danielvera96 Amazon.com sells them, try online stores.

  • Yeah, stop trollin'. Other musicians think drummers are a bunch of thickheads and some on here seem determined to prove it.

HurleyJ is right: nothing I've ever done to a snare head has stopped a drum clanging. Damping the batter head has always done the trick.

  • how much do they cost?

  • @ThyAtreyuBurnsRemain It varies.

  • theyre washable you just have to do it right lol

  • @DWdrummer57 Yeah I know that now.

  • Thanks for that, this video was like 2 years old, then I got a YouTube account a year ago and posted it. So stop TROLLIN'!!!

  • Before you post a video on You Tube, wait for you're balls to drop.

  • Wow 5 thousand views thanks guys! If you like this video, please subscribe, and check out my other videos.

  • its good for them to be small not to hit them

  • @tkudelj1 I see what you're saying, I was suggesting varying size to that they affect the snare differently.

  • @MoreThanLuck well u just need to put more then one on a drumm if u need more dampening

  • to make them more effective on the snare put them on the bottom head of the snare right NEXT to the snares, its where the snares HITS that needs to be dampened, u can put 5 gels on the top and bearly get a difference, i put one on top and one on bottom of each tom and snare becuase both sides vibrate.

  • @MrSnazman18 Actually, the point of these moongels is to reduce overtones, just like any damper ring... And by placing it on top of the drum, that is precisely what it does. The overtones that you hear off the snare in particular come ONLY from the top of the drum, not the bottom

  • its still detuned after muffling... ;)

  • i hear these things are amazing

  • @HandPeopleHandPeople yeah they are man i made a video of these on my page, be sure to check it out

  • I have ludwig black beauty and depending on how I tune my snare the ring can sound good or bad so I think I'm gonna get these

  • At the time I recorded this, I couldn't tune very well, so calm down. Now I can, but I couldn't. And for the record, it's MY WATCH. :)

  • Hey man! Try out this new thing: TUNE YOUR FUCKING DRUM!!

  • give daddy his watch back

  • its my watch.

  • @MoreThanLuck LOL yeah i have a watch from Fossil there watches are BEAST i customized my watch so A lot of people tryed to steal it and my friend did found it in his room beated the shit out of him ^_^

  • @5585deathmage Great Friend ;)

  • @MoreThanLuck what do you mean

  • @SuckMySunnyD68 Haha makes me laugh everytime I read this.

  • @SuckMySunnyD68 Hahahaha! I laugh whenever I see this.

  • Here's my way of doing it. Cut one in half, and place the two halves about an inch away from the egde, on opposite sides of the snare drum. I encourage you to try it out!

  • moongels are fine on toms 12" and under and snares, but i dont think they muffle enough for 13" toms or bigger. i bought 2 packs, put one on my snare, one on my 12" tom, two on my 13" tom, two on my 16" floor tom, and two on my 18" floor tom. hope this warns some of you!

  • I know its a stupid comment, but did you try tuning ur snare before buying these?

    Thanks for the demo

    Much apreciated.

  • you can also put them on the bottom, i bought two containers, and i put one on the top and bottom of each drum, combined with some nice evans heads for the toms (EC2 coated) and the EMAD and ONYX heads on the bass made my crappy Sound Percussion kit sound better than a yamaha stage custom

  • Yeah, but the overtones in my snare are like a high pitched ringing.

  • I think , that the overtones on the snare without moongel is cool. I don't use moongel on my snare only on my toms.

  • I just used water, but after using soap it all came off. Hope this clarifies.

  • when you was it ut it in soap and water all of the dust and dirt comes off right into your hand hope this helps

  • Thanks for actually showing the before and after. Appreciate the demo.

  • Wow!!! 1000 views!!! And 13 is my luck number!

  • did u wash it in water or with washing up liqid n water?

and yes, theyre disigned small so they stay out of the way.

and you can cut them into smaller chunks as well if you dont want the full bit on. it also lessens the damper effect the less u have on.

i have moongel, and i onoy use half a piece on my toms, and none on my snare at all.

  • Not to my knowledge. It works by eliminateing the resonance in the drum heads, which there isn't in an electronic kit. Maybe on a mesh pad. No garentees.

  • will it work on an electronic drumset?.example simmons sd9k. the kick pad is alittle too loud and i live in dorms so people bitch.

  • u could place it were the bass pedal hits, tht might work... but its not intended for tht

  • can't you turn the volume up and down on an elecronic drumset?

  • Ur right, but if it came in a bigger size as well, it would work better. U can see sometimes people put 2 on.

  • Do you mean the head, or the actual snare wires?

  • I don't get it. If they're small, isn't that a good thing? Since they stay out of the way? You say you don't like them because of the size.

  • try tightening your sanre....if you are into a poppy sound.you'll prob like it....

  • that is a huge improvement!
