Styx had never been boo-ed off stage before, that was until DeYoung decided to go all theatrical with "Kilroy was Here" and they got boo-ed off of a stage in Texas. That was ALL DeYoung's fault and the rest of the band pretty much hated him after that. Hell, he's not even aloud to use the name Styx when he sings anymore, legally, he has to put "Songs of Styx".

I agree 110 percent. I've been a Styx fan since the early 70's this band is a farce. Dennis was the brains of this band. Nothing they have done since he left was worth a crap. Is there anyone who has already been to one of the concerts in the Can't Stop Rockin tour that knows the set lists for Styx & REO. What I have learned so far is songs from the first concert in Amarillo, TX. I found out that REO started first and the first song Styx played was Heavy Water instead of Blue Collar Man and they also performed "Together" from Cyclorama and also that they didn't perform Lady. If someone could please verfiy this and also have more info on the set list, that'd be great

Reo without Gary is NO Speedwagon and Styx without Dennis, or Tommy is no Styx. Just a shell of the original. This song is ok, but that is it.

Well, Styx still has Tommy at least. But there current line-up still kicks ass. As for REO, Gary Richrath certainly was the soul of the band, to bad he retired from the music business. The current guitarist is pretty good, but Gary was definitely what defined REO's hard rock edge.

i have to disagree. gary was definitely more of a showman than dave, but dave still knows how to rock and does a great job. i never got to see gary live in person because im only 16 and wasnt born when he was with reo haha but from the dvds i have i can see that he was deffinitely a showman. i think gary was better and more entertaining than dave, but i dont think his absence changes reo speedwagon from being a great band...im goin to see them friday in scranton, cant wait!!

Styx has turned into a Tommy Shaw solo project.

Every new Styx song since 2002 has sounded like a repeat of the song before it. It is very evident there is one influence in this band. That is NOT what made Styx great in the 70s. In 1979, that very concept got DDY fired.

What people need to understand is that Styx was attempting to embelish their classic rock sound into a very modern rock sound. I think they did a great job of doing that with the Brave New World and Cyclorama albums. My favorites from those include I Will Be Your Witness, While There's Still Time, Heavy Water, Fallen Angel, Everything is Cool, Best New Face, Waiting for Our Time, Kiss You Ass Goodbye, Yes I Can, More Love For the Money, Together, One With Everything, and Genki Des Ka.
