Right click your sidebar and then click "add gadgets". Your clock selection should then be in there.

Oh ok - then go to control panel, click on "Appearance and Personalization" and then click on "Windows Sidebar Properties". After that, check "Start sidebar when Windows starts". Hope this helps.
