Definitely not GNR. Sounds like a studio band where the lead has gotten hold of a Marshall Jubilee, either original or reissue. And they've practiced this song together quite a few times to get the timing and sound together as they do. The slide interlude was sorta quiet but everything else was dynamite. In the words of those 2 movie gurus, 2 thumbs up.

It's me with a friend. we recorded this song on a PC with Cakewalk. In about... 2 hours using 6 channels for each instrument.

CHANNELS

1- lead guitar (over drive)

2- rythm guitar (cleaner over drive)

3- guitar arrangements & Solos (over drive)

4- Bass

5- Drums

6- Keyboards

I played all the instruments except the drums and the keyboards in this song.

I'll be recording more soon. (soon is the word!)

Recorded with:

Gibson Les Paul Studio from the 90's.

Valve amplification with a Marshall JTM 30 conected with a 4x12 Cabinet 1960 A Series.

Tips: when you use valves you have to let them get hot and you'll get the perfect sound, and then play very Loud!!!

I have used the amp overdrive for de rithm guitar and a "Marshall Shred master"(pedal) for the lead guitar.

there is no delay, reverb or chorus in any part of the song or the solos, just the overdrive guitar.

this month I will try with Rocket Queen. I'm thinking of making the whole album appetite for destruction.
