We need more information on who the organization is that assist with design and construction. It's a great idea and simple. I need something like this in Tanzania.

Have you also seen the Afripump, which is also a very strong and simple design with no spare parts needed that will lift water from up to 100 m deep for 25+ years and is therefore a convenient and long lasting solution, google also for handpump or afripump for more info
I hope it's easy to unseal and replace the rope.
