I was having kind of a down day, and then I started reading through everyone's comments here! WOW! Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts. I know sometimes it feels lonely to be a Genesis fan and also when I invest so much time & energy into these unique videos, it's just nice to get some kind words. THANK YOU!!
Would had this been a Gaga song, probably the ducks would had left this side of the pond at the very beginning of her song, even if they were being bribed by the little girl to be part of the audience.
Ducks know quality music. Especially the one on the left. I caught him banging his head at the same tempo of the song a couple of times
You are one VERY creative and original thinking individual, Dude! It's very challenging to devise a direct wormhole into our collective, memory-laden past...and I think you accomplished this beautifully with your Stagnation vid (assisted by your enthusiastic young family, I presume ;-)
I congratulate and thank you, most sincerely, for your exemplary efforts on our early Genesis-adoring behalf.
Drummer Chris Stewart settled and bought a farm named "El Valero" in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia, Spain where he lives and works with his wife Ana Exton and daughter Chloë. He came in last place for the position of local councillor in the 27 May 2007 local elections in Órgiva representing the Green Party,[2] where he received 201 votes (roughly 8%).From wikipedia.
I remember well. This was before Phil & Steve joined the group. The fall of 1970, Phoenix, FM radio station KDKB played this album all the way through. I ditched my accounting class that morning - stayed in my car & listened. I was hooked from the very start by Gabriel's haunting vocals & the music. Afterward, I went on a desperate search to find this album. I still have it to this day with many more scratches than this one. Fortunately, my wife shares this love of old Genesis & Peter's voice.
@jackkrabbitslims2 - being from Phoenix myself...I can only underscore Jackk's statement of how IMPORTANT is was for us, in America, to have several serious AOR radio stations, here. Without the courageous radio PD's who were dedicated to stretching the minds (and ears) of the often 2-dimensional repertoire of the then Top 40 forced listenership -many of us, here in the States would never have had the opportunity of falling for Prog music & Genesis. Kudos to WNEW in NYC, too, who joined KDKB!
@LileighWhiteLilith -"...she gonna lead you right!" When I think of all the great musicians and artistry I've been denied over my teenage years, (long ago) because some radio exec making decisions to play only proven winners and under three minutes thought it best, I just want to cry! Here in LA we had Stonetrek and Seventh Day. I stopped listening to radio and never went back.
Bellissimo! :D

Genesis was awesome before that no talent ass hat took it mainstream and dumbed down the music. You know who I speak of...that Collins guy...

This album still goes and remains the Testament of Early-Genesis.
Tough every new album became a consequence of Rebirth and Evolution ,in styles
in lyrics , in instruments, in knowledge...as it should be.

Chis Stewart only played on the first two singles in 1968. On Stagnation it's the late (and great) John Mayhew drumming.

Best song from the best Genesis-Album ever. That scratches ... I payed 120,-
East German Mark in 82 for it to find scratches like that, constantly. But at least there were no ducks and froggs ...
