  • @zimidar album name is "gahzal" (ghzal 1,ghzal 2,ghzal 3...)and it`s a kind of love poem in persian language. as u know kayhan kalhor is an iranian artist and these series of performances are a " meeting between iran and india" based on the ancient common cultural origins.

  • @prinzzz77777 Hey THANKS SO MUCH, belatedly. Truly appreciate it. AND really i would love to have the rest of it too if you can spare some time. It really is an amazing piece. Shujaat has the voice of an angel--i have seen him live many times and its always uplifting--Sufi all the way. Hope you can help with the rest despite my delay in getting round to it. Pleezzzzz and thx again! VJ

  • wha wha sahib itna sur .i have really enjoed your performense

  • Not forget the great rule of Kayhan Kalhor , and his magical Kamancheh

  • Just magical and great..his voice is better than his sister Zila..

  • Shujaat is an incredible musician. He follows his father, the late Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib ( the greatest sitar player ever and one of the most saintly person ) in singing with his sitar playing. This ghazal was originally composed and sung by Jagjit Singh.

  • words are?

  • WAH WAH WAH

  • a beautiful ghazal by a great musician, magical!!!!

  • Brilliant.. I hope I can find an original cd here in Pakistan.

  • What's the name of this piece?

  • @bagpipeplayer The original is called 'Yeh Inaayatein Ghazab ki", composed and sung by Jagjit Singh at the Royal Albert Hall.

  • Musica para dios, Hermoso

  • beautiful....

  • BEAUTIFUL!! KEYA BATT...WAH !!

  • it makes me homesick for china in a weird way.

  • I have always believed Shujaat Khan to be one of the best musician in the world. His music and Indian music in general are underated because the media and entertainment industry are western owned. This is truly music to heal the heart. Best song in the universe..spiritual. Wake up Indian People, unite and be confident in the world.

  • @coconutsage : yes, true what you are saying, great music. There is so much music in the world that is suppressed by Western music politics. Another example is African music from all countries there...piracy makes it worse...

  • @Ayanfe13

There is one song from Africa (Zimbabwe) that comes to my mind that I think is equally so beautiful that it makes you want to go to Africa, a trully remarkable piece of music, it's from Stella Chiweshe and the song is called Musandifungise (from the CD Talking Mbira).I don't know the language she is singing but it makes me sing along. One of the best music in the universe.Spiritual.

  • @coconutsage: thank you so much, I will look for that song.

  • @coconutsage So well spoken Sir and thx for sharing, This guy is just unbelievable.

  • @coconutsage

I am a trained sitarist of Imdadkhani school who took talim under one among the Ustad Vilayat Khan family. As I learned more of Western music, I realized all music are complex in its own right. To be frank, Western music is more complex than Hindustani in a lot of ways, since we do not have ths concept of polyphony, which is a world of science in itself.

So while it is perfectly all right to be confident of our heritage, undervaluing other music types are just plain ignorance.

  • @mulamoodan you are right. but where are the emotions. indian music attains its place not because of its complexity, but the emotional content from the subtle to the sublime. a raaga like shankara is just so far beyond a reasonable mind. as mathematician it reminds me of the absolutely beautiful theorems that one often reads from the great minds. very nontrivial, yet very elegant once its complete. (i have no idea of western classical, so i am making my side of the argument )

  • thanks a lot ironcross04... i hope i find it in market.

  • Too beautiful to be be praised in words.

  • i was at his concert a few years back and was awed by the sheer brilliance of his sitar-playing...didn't even know he sings so beautiful...all the more reason to listen to him more...

  • amazing..simply beautiful.. is there any complete album by him? plz tell

  • this same was released in his album cd BREEZE.

  • a true genius, what a voice! The universe is one no matter what your god may be. His genuis is universal like bethhoven's, bachs and Einstein, Rumi and others.... I wish to take a lesson from him one day!

  • His voice goes very close to Adnan Sami.

  • opurbo

  • Amazing Video... amazing lyrics... sung so well... and the background score is just amazing... blessed to have heard this!

  • TO MisterAfghanTabla , The name is Ustad Shujaat Khan, not Shujaat Husain. Please correct.

  • his name is Ustad Shujaat HUSSAIN Khan, he is the son of Ustad Vilayet HUSSAIN Khan... thats his full name

  • A rare combination of beautiful voice and sitar mastery, this artist has just begun to give us more...

May he be inspired to sing these at the feet of God, and he will awaken the world through the sheer beauty of it.

search gitanjali shuddha 360 in google

  • beautiful piece.
