  • There is one other engine of Dr-Ing. Rudolf Diesel's design still in operation at Dieselhouse in Copenhagen, which was built by Burmeister & Wain in 1904. It was the first engine they delivered, and ran in a carriage works for over twenty years.

  • Bravo_Great video! Some of my best memories are of the engine room as 'At Sea Throttleman' aboard the SS576. Snorkling on all 3 engines (Fairbanks-Morse 38ND-8_1/8). Ah yes..the Sweet Sound! (the grease..the grime..the sweat..the stale air..assigned to a Pig Boat was not for the fair)EN2/SS '67-'71____
