This is probably one of the most well-written songs of all time. Its metaphors are simple, and relate-able, and lend credit to the "No matter how hard we try we will fall into our old ways, we will be drunk by noon" aspect. The trick is not to find beauty in the pain, but not to freak out over insignificant details of life, just press foreward, and have a SHITLOAD of fun while doing it.
