In that novel, the main characters Phileas Fogg and Monsieur Passepartout travel from London, to the Suez, to Mumbai, to Kolkata, to Hong Kong, to Yokohama, to San Francisco, to New York, and then back to London. They don't visit South America nor do they visit Australia.

The problem of this video is: Youtube is a worldwide known entity and it's something actual. Jules Vernes wrote his book for what is, his vision of the world. I do find the video and the title they given it quite brilliant, but the problem is, we aren't in 18's anymore. The world as everybody Must know is not some 100% occidentalised city anymore. It hurts to see that even in our days, people forget about all the latin america, northern europe, and a vaste part of africa... anyway

If I wanted to make a homage to, say, Homer's Odyssey, I wouldn't add a scene where Odysseus makes a stop-over in Cairo for calamari, or Istanbul for kebabs. Yes, the Aegean Sea has changed a LOT since 800 BCE, but that doesn't mean I go off and make references to places not even mentioned in the original texts simply because "we aren't in -8's anymore".

This was enjoyable, but all the same not especially distinctive to be frank. It was fully sponsored by Sony for marketing the new DSC-HX5V (which is truly the best point-and-shoot on the market now), yet it really does nothing to show off its capabilities; using a $50 digital camera would have yielded precisely the same result due to the frame rate and compression for streaming. And another thing: the so-to-speak "filmmaker"/"photographer" is pretty lazy about choosing shot locations.
