  • i hear this pedal on wish and on hand that feeds!!

  • thank god that some one who can actually play guitar posted a review of this pedal. everyone just tries to play the same zelda riff and is terrible at it. bravo for doing a good job dude lol

  • does this pedal come with a fresh pair of underwear?

  • @gotpuck1111 they recommend not wearing underwear while using this pedal

  • Hahaha I'd get this just because of The Legend of Zelda!

  • I've heard that this pedal is a gated fuzz... Does it have a long sustain anyway?

  • so sexy

  • That feel when I'm playing one of these while watching this video.

  • I hear the Flaming Lips

  • 3:25 is the music when you fight the final boss in PGS

  • Perfect for my nerdcore band!

  • Devi Ever produces (my take) the only fuzz pedals that sound like a fuzz pedal. To many of the newer fuzz pedals are too tame sounding more like distortion devices or overdrive pedals.

  • Is there a Punch Out!! pedal

  • When are these going to be back in stock?

  • What are the differences between The Devi Ever Legend Of Fuzz and the MXR Blue Box reissue ?

  • @InvadersSpace Blue Box is an octave fuzz, basically your sound is duplicated 2 octaves down. The Legend of Fuzz is super-compressed fuzz.

  • @RockaRollaZombie thanks, then I'd better go for the Blue Box sound, despite the killer Legend of Fuzz look :)

  • Bite the hand that feeds...

  • I just won one of these. :)

  • 8 people are drummers

  • And I thought the fact that it was spoofing the legend of zelda was enough to buy this. This sounds sick and I cannot wait to get this! :D

  • That's freaking amazing. They're about to have one new customer. And then in a few months, I'll buy one.

  • OMG THIS FUZZ IS CRAZZYYYYY

  • So what's a good fuzz pedal to get a dinosaur jr like sound?

  • What song is at the start?

  • @WintersandSummers the hand that feeds by nine inch nails

  • @WintersandSummers Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds

  • can i plug it in a bass???

  • @jvnltube oh yeah. Bass through a fuzz pedal gives a really neat sound higher frets

  • Hey Andy, how come you guys don't do any demos of Roger Mayer pedals? Is it because you don't carry them? I think he makes some of the best fuzz and other various effects around.

  • i would do anything to get one of these anybody know how much one of these would cost?

  • @1800pie 100 bucks.

  • @razormusik thx

  • just from the nin intro i had to sub

  • This is the coolest thing ever! Fucking genius

  • anybody else think this guy sounds like jack black? hahahahaahahahaha

  • @BLACKBEARDSBOOMBOX not even close

  • @BLACKBEARDSBOOMBOX You must be thinking of Gearmandude.

  • @BLACKBEARDSBOOMBOX you're in the wrong video

  • The speakers are dying! So cool!

  • holy jesus so much cool bass beat thingi in the beginning just what i have been looking for

  • gated fuzzes are like breast reduction surgery, you're taking away a good thing for no reason.

  • way cool

  • mario has an erection

  • This pedal ain't for the blues lawyers.

  • 1:46 - I almost shat my pants

  • ha LoZ fuzz pedal and a T. Rex song, made my day.

  • What's the riff during the "Gnarly Fuzz"

  • love the first sound.... what pickup we're you on for the first sound? middle pup or mid/bridge?

  • What's he playing at 1:30-2:15? That's such a sick riff/solo.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm trying to find something to complement a Big Muff (Tone Wicker model) well. Which of these two-knob Devi's could do the job?

  • i can get the sort of sound at the beginning by stacking my mxr fullbore metal with my crunch box.....has to be on the exact settings though.

  • can i get a left handed version?

  • @alexgoodbourn Just do what Jimi did and switch the jacks.

  • that fuzz has got some punch to it

  • Did I hear some Pixies? Would have been perfect if you did the Hyrule overworld theme. BTW, does your site have Paypal?

  • Unity gain is indeed "well below 11 o'clock". I have one of these and unity gain is at about 8 o'clock.

This pedal is so loud and messed up it makes it nearly impossible to play anything through. That's why it's my favorite pedal on my board

  • At the start of the video with the NIN riff is there a drum beat with the guitar?

I'm sure i can hear it!

Please let me know it's driving me crazy!

  • @jackevans199 - Nope, just the chunky, percussive low end from the Bit.

  • @jackevans199 I hear it too!

  • @jackevans199 hand that feed and no drum but you can feel it in your soul NIN is amazing hahahah they do that to ya

  • Legend of Zelda FUZZ!! Sounds like crap!

  • @navdave and thats exactly why i want it:)

  • The hand that you feeds you at the beginning kinda sounds like That Van Halen song you really got me now with splattery fuzz

  • Although it's similar to the Torn Peaker are we ever going to get a review of the Aenima? A pedal isn't cool until it's been reviewed by proguitarshop.

  • Zelda and Guitar; two great tastes that taste great together.

  • NIN, Mclusky and T Rexx . . . Awesome! What was the song the begins at 3:25?

  • Great playing as always, Andy !

    Sweet demo, man !

  • That sounds like absolute shit, in my opinion.

  • The hand that feeds¡ Yeaahhh¡ Very nice pedal and demo¡

  • Simple yet beautiful, clear example that sometimes less is better.

  • How many Fuzz pedals in Devi Ever's lineup? Never liked Fuzz anyway...

  • That was a cool NIN cover in the opening.

  • that sounds great with the tele. now i want a tele...

  • sounds pretty dam dirty \m/ \m/

  • how the hell did they get the right to use the zelda coat of arms?

  • @micp4130 she didn't... hahahaha

  • i llllove it!! thanx for the audio sample!

  • If you like 8-Bit videogame tones, you can DIY an UglyFace Fuzz pedal, or check out the WMD Geiger Counter video that PGS has up. I think those would do the Bit: Legend of Fuzz title more justice, but that's an opinion.

  • No way Andy - 20th Century Boy by T-Rex? Nice!

  • so its true...Legend of Fuzz

  • my face just melted

  • zelda XD

  • 20th century boy, ha nice

  • Oh yeah!!! Stone Temple Pilots :)

  • people should buy this pedal just because of it's name!

  • thats really cool

  • hey Andy you need to Play some Buckethead stuff

  • @ViLLZzZz He did. :P he played Big sur moon in a demo of a delay. (cant remember what one tho)

  • Really liking those drums on the new outro music.

  • @JohnMcD19 Thanks!

  • Badass!

  • I have to buy this simply because of its desighn.

  • @feedbackismyfriend NIN uses the BIT alot i believe

  • @KaossPadGuitars Trent Reznor had two one of a kind pedals built by the guys at Death By Audio. They have rediculous fuzz pedals! Although this sounds just gravy!!!

  • Man Andy, you always pick the best songs.

  • mmmmm.......juiceeey.....nice demo, Andy!

  • It sounds like what they were shooting for was a combination of a general fuzz tone with the grittiness of ground up asphalt. Totally not my thing.

  • Fucking NIN <3 Epic

  • Demo the Aenima!!! I wanna hear Andy work with THAT monster.

  • @tcinpa37 Yes! Demo the Aenima! :d

  • w00t Portland, Oregon! So proud to live here. :)

  • Devi Ever's design is always unreal, related to fantasy, and I thnik it is JUST adequate to out-of-Earth sound.

  • sounds a bit like wolfmother

  • The Hand That Feeds by NIN! i love you, Andy!

  • that's the most awesome piece of pedal I have ever seen!

  • the 8-bit boogie's intro sounded a lot like muse's hysteria

  • Devi stuff is way over the top - maybe good for recording but there's no way you could make this cut through live without ungodly uncontrolled volume for the "low" spots and some kind of limiter/compression for the "hot" spots... just more "stuff" to hook up and deal with to try and make a pig's ear sound like something IMO

  • @moucon - Not true. You should try playing a good fuzz in a live situation sometime. It's not so complicated. The extremely compressed nature of a high gain fuzz keeps the volume constant and allows it to cut through quite easily when necessary. And anyway, it's not always about "cutting through". Sometimes you just need a big wall of fuzz, i.e. My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Mclusky. All fine examples of this kind of fuzz put to good use. This pedal ain't for the blues lawyers.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos yea dude McLusky!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos i agree fully. Jack White anybody??

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos just laid down the law as far as toan goes. nice.

    Wait, was that Andy?

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos No offense intended guys, but I've been playing live with fuzz pedals since before they were called fuzz pedals - probably before you guys showed up in the womb ;-) I'm old - can't help that -. But I know exactly how they work, what they sound like, and how to use 'em. Doesn't change my opinion. i'll give you the "Sonic Youth" stuff - but that ain't my cup of tea. I don't see myself out there doing' many "My Bloody Valentine" covers ;-)

  • @moucon I'm not looking to do much covers at all..these pedals are intended for musicians trying to make their own music..not covers. There is nothing wrong with doing covers and being a working musician...but that's probably not the intent of most watching this video..myself included.

  • @moucon Not everyone plays live you know. Try this pedal, it's hard to make your neighbors NOT hear it; even when the volume pot is only located in the first quarter of the turn.

  • @moucon no way! i use mine live all the time. maybe if you're the only guitar in the band, but they work great as a layering tone

  • @moucon bitch what.

  • @moucon Um, Robin Fink used this live during NIN's last tour. :)

  • @devieverfx boo.. aaron north is better

  • @moucon also, NIN uses this pedal live

  • HELL YES!

  • I agree, I like a few pedals form devi, but they make to many and most sound the same to me. The Hyperonion sounds pretty good, and the Herion Lifestyle was so-so. Seems like they are selling cool looking boxes that don't sound that great.

    NEXT.

  • oh yes, NIN

  • OMG!!!!! I have to have it!!!!!! just for the graphics hahaha! i bought zelda when it first came out!!! man it sounds awesome too for some prog stuff. 8-bit boogie =D LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • That's f@ckin' badass! It's sounds awesome, AND it has the "Legend of Zelda" style logo and coat of arms on the front!

  • A dream becoming a reality, not so legendary after all

  • YAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR YOU GUYS TO DO THIS!!!! I LOVE THIS PEDAL!!!! MUCH RECOMMENDED! I already own one, but I leant it out and am not sure if I am getting back... Might need to buy another. lol.

  • YES!!! A long awaited demo!!!!

  • I've been waiting for this to be demoed for a while

  • @feildmouse i was about to say the exact same thing

  • sucks

  • @libertyfalls I mean to tell ya, they make like 18 fuzz pedals and they all sound the same.

  • Yeah, the Devi Ever stuff isn't very interesting, all of them do sound the same, just the same two knobs, and they all have some wacky sound, but a weak fuzz overall. Not the wall of fuzz sound people hype them up to be.

  • @bgingras05 yeah, Ive noticed about 90% of all fuzz pedals sound exactly like this. They all sound like a big pile of wet farts. Unless its a Dallas-Arbiter, an Analogman Sunface, a '69 fuzz etc, (things we have already heard of) they all sound the same. I dont think I've heard a fuzz pedal from a boutique company that hasnt sounded like this... (unless its a clone of something good)

  • @libertyfalls agreed, I sent my Fuzz Face to Analogman to get the NKT275 mod done and i love it, doesn't play well with my Mojo Vibe that well but it didn't before it went in either, so I'm also using a Fulltone catalyst which is kinda cheating but it's something with the Fuzz faces impedence and the fact I can't dime out my Marshall like Jimi lol.

  • @bgingras05 Try putting the vibe either before or afer the fuzz. I had issues too with my sixties vibe and I switched the vibe and the fuzz around and it worked great. They need to make like a 5 watt marshall that doesnt sound like dog shit so normal players could get that 200 decibel marshall hendrix sound without going deaf!

  • @libertyfalls There's a bunch of 5 watt tube amps out there in the $200 range (not much more, if any, than these "boutique" stomp boxes - they sound great and will do exactly what you're looking for. Put a mic or a DI on them and you're in business live as well.

  • @libertyfalls Just throw a Marshally OD after the vibe.. That works wonders! A Catalinbread DLS works GREAT for this. I go Fuzz -> vibe -> OD -> Amp

    cheers

  • @libertyfalls Yeah I've been thinking about getting a hot plate but still on the fence. Ive tried the fuzz before the vibe like Jimi and after the vibe as recomended by Mike Fuller when i had my Deja Vibe, with both I've had issues, even playing with the buffer switch inside the Mojo. Using an OCD last as an dirty plexi kinda sound helped but you're right, a 5W Marshall would be nice! Jimi was a genius to make it all work. I wonder what all Roger Mayer did to mod his pedals.

  • @libertyfalls Amen brudda - I've been sayin' that all along. They're all pretty much the same thing... an poor substitutes for a good amp/guitar combo.

  • Yeah i got one, all the demos show me the same stuff here. It's not the best fuzz out there, just a lot of output. But hey, its gotta lot of hype so whatever.

I might have liked checking out the old Bass fuzz she made, now called the supermassive black hole, and im not sure it sounds the same as the bass fuzz.

  • @samuelmichaud yeah I want to like these so bad but I can't imagine at a gig, we"ll say a small bar on a cranked up 15-25w tube amp all of these devi pedals sound different from each other.

  • @bgingras05 yup

  • @samuelmichaud Like once was said, most fuzz pedals out there are pretty weak on low end. Apparently the easiest pedal to make. But hard to make good.

Of course nothing stops you from making them look good and going nuts on the production table... sell em like warm cookies.

  • dang perfect for Euro dance/techno !!!!!O_o

  • I love the way that thing sounds with the Les Paul!

  • I like that song in the beginning , does anybody know what it is?

  • @SnoiltheRipper Nine Inch Nails- The hand thats feeds

  • wow.

  • i came

  • woh
