A campaign should be started to get this DVD out if its just lying gathering dust in some vault somewhere. I am sure it would sell well as Bob is still loved by most Hawkwind fans and its a disgrace that no footage exists of this immensely talented performer
Yep: write to Voiceprint and Atomhenge (Cherry Red) and ask them to release it. If enough of us ask for it, maybe one of 'em will get their finger out ;¬)
@sex6cult9revolution Hmmm... I seem to remember Nik saying that one or two of the American shows were filmed, this was a while back though (?late eighties). You have to remember that we're talking about the days before nanotechnology, when filming a concert (or anything for that matter) was a major undertaking. Film cameras in the early seventies were the size of a washing machine :¬)

A very interesting animation, very brave of you to handle those flying plates! I have the same problem at home, but with flying tea-pots. Your production is very well researched and informative. Captain Calvert would be proud.

Yes: I did the animation - that's my CD rack you see the ornament jump from, the letters are on my sitting room floor, and the gate is in my front garden (you can just see my Beemer in the background). I even do a "Hitchcock" in this one - that's me in the flying suit. Lorraine spent all afternoon throwing plates at me.
The REAL reason you enjoyed it though is because the music is by Captain Calvert.

Hawklords tour was filmed by Charisma but not released. I think the tapes might still exist in a vault somewhere. Will they ever get released?
