  • This movie is so beautiful. It honestly changed the way I feel about cinema

  • this is our selves...we are both beast and beauty. ever entwined....longing...love is the remedy for dark night of the wild heart.

  • 1:03 Best face slap reaction ever.

  • The film is a statement about human life, not merely a captivating fantasy. I loved it.

  • Se le extraña ....

  • I absolutely love this movie ! It is so deep and enchanting, but still the content is somewhat different from the Disney version :) i Can totally recommend this materpiece !

  • Exquisite film.

  • This film is brilliant. I encourage people not to compare it to the Disney version because they each offer a unique fairy-tale feeling that is both different and enchanting.

  • stunning..sumptuous spellbinding

  • Dans la maison du défunt, voiler le miroir

  • I love the Disney version, but this is truly wonderful and magical, a real masterpiece.

  • J'adore ce film!!

  • Interesting to see how much Andrew Lloyd Weber "borrowed" from this in Phantom of the Opera.

  • While staying in Nice, I visited a Jean Marais exhibit... there were costumes, etc. from La Belle et La Bete... I wish I could remember where now. I loved this movie, which I first saw 35 years ago in a French class.

  • RIP Jean Marais!

  • This movie is absolutely BRILLIANT and everyone should see it. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. Hauntingly beautiful.

  • dedico esto a Conchita Bouza, dama que deambula por el Sur de California..

  • Superb, Thank you.

  • Cocteau!!!

  • i guess this blows away the disney version...

  • Wonderful movie! The dvd has lots of extras and a booklet with the story of the film and pictures.

  • Dedico a Concepcion Bouza , Rogelio Quintana, Enrique Montano Montesino. Dr.Rafael Mateo de Acosta, Roberto Fernandez.

  • Beautiful movie, with a handsome beast and many artistic touches: wall sconces with arms that move, Victorian wooden heads with eyes that move--very oddly beautiful...

  • Moving and sublime: this is pure art...

  • I watched this the other day, it was good.

  • So fucking good!!! Criterion owns for the work done to this movie (for those who never witnessed the shitty transfer that was around) still holds up after all these year's.

  • Judging by this trailer, it seems to be from the second Criterion release. Mine is from the first one and it is missing a documentary. So does it mean it was restored twice by Criterion?

  • Yes, it's been restored twice by them.

  • O! To see it now on the Big Screen!

  • One of the most beautifully poetic films of all time.

  • :) I just bought the dvd and am waiting to see it, for the first time, with my boyfriend on a special occasion.

  • Is this the new HD digital restoration made by Criterion? It have too many white spots popping arond and some instability of frame here and there. SHould be bether to a HD digital restoration.

  • So many memories...

  • i'm watching this as we speak :)
