I've been a fan of both video game franchises since I was a kid, but I have to say movie wise, Mortal Kombat is probably a better film, as well as a more successful one.

As far as the games go, Turbo Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat Trilogy are two VERY classic games in my opinion. Hard to say which is better.
