Okay, so he said that a rational function is a fraction with a polynomial as the numerator and denominatory, and starts out with x^2 as the numerator. But isn't x^2 a monomial, since it's one term.

@Muusicca you do know that nothing is misspelled right? "proofing" and "proving" are different things, both are mechanically and grammatically correct and "proofing" was correct in this context.
