In 2004, I towed 23,000 gross combined weight w/93 D250/w warmed up Cummins (275hp) and gooseneck from Oregon to Oshkosh, WI and back again. Only failure? Headlight switch burnt up.
i could add propane, run my water methonal, or drive slower but incomparison to what a gas powerd truck would get towing the same weight, i'm happy with 15, better than 6mpgs
man that sounds good. i love hearin a good cummins doin what they were bred to do. PULL.

what kind of MPG's do you get when towing this monstrosity of an excavator? Must be below the 20's. And what kind of gearing do you have, 3:54s?
mitsumivec4life 3 years ago
15+ mpgs 3:54's is right
91ctddc 3 years ago
Wow, and I wish there was some way for you to improve MPG's when towing, but I don't know for sure.
