Expert Village has a 15 video set for beginners and for social Cha Cha I think they did a good job. For people learning to dance on a crowded floor, they just need to shorten their steps, especially the chasse steps. This will come with experience. Having ballroom danced for many years, we just have to modify our dance steps to meet the conditions on the floor, but the basic steps remain the same. It is enough for a beginner to learn the proper steps and rhythm, styling can come later.

You can go to Jim Porters, on Bop night in Louisville and learn ANY dance for free!

if you live in Louisville Ky, they have a class before the dance starts maybe close to 6:00pm

That's the point -- this is supposed to be a very beginner lesson. You always teach the basic pattern first and THEN get into teaching hips and cuban motion. But just steps at first!

Umm... excuse me, I'm like 11 and proffesional dancers have told me im gifted.

So, take it from the expert here, these ppl can't dance the cha cha properly,let alone teach it. I meen, it's ok to teach beginners but purrlease, need more hips and the back step should not make u look like ur falling over. (i dont meen to be rude im just saying)

i know what you mean, they didn't use there hips at all and they took forever to teach the most basic cha-cha steps! the weight transfer backwards was dead and cold, there should be more feeling and hip movement!
