It was one of the first games i've ever played, and to this day it's still one of my top 5 or 10 favorite games of all time. ill never forget how much fun i had playing this game through the first time. i wish games were like this today...

Best game ever. I could play this through this game every day, and I do almost every week. So much replay value, this game rewards you over and over for knowing the game better, the amount of tricks and shortcuts is mind boggling. This game had everything, simple yet touching story, great game play and controls, great sound track.. did this game do anything wrong? And, well F-Zero...all you need is Goroh, Black Shadow, Zoda, Octoman, Pico, Captain Falcon, some racers, and a track! GX proved you don't need the best music for an F-Zero game to be good, lol.

Back when I was a kid I would always ask my dad to play and I would watch him play this game. When he would make it to the final boss (whom everyone knows by now surely) I would be too scared to stay in the room. I miss the good ol days where games weren't just about graphics. Also I never really cared for the music back then just how fun the game was. Now I enjoy the music and never really noticed how underrated this one is.

@MrEpicTruth Sigh, I wouldn't say it was that awful, but the terrible dialogue and story was so bad... I tried to give it a chance and it failed in that aspect, it was also incredibly short and quite linear for a Metroid game although perhaps the less time it went on for the better. Otherwise the gameplay was good, surprised at how well the controls worked, and of course it was graphically sound. I especially enjoyed the 'extra' boss!

Thank God for Other M than, eh? If you've played Shadow Complex before, it'll amazing you just how in depth their taking this new title. I'm not saying it's going to be the same as SC, but there are striking features from the two I've noticed. I hope the controls are moving with the joystick in 2D while pointing at the screen in 3D. Imagine running one direction while shooting an enemy behind you AT THE SAME TIME! :D

Now 14 Years later i found an Emulator for SNES and this game, and i must say, that it still ROCKS!!

Its just one of the best SNES games ever, if not one of the best Games of all time.

Not because of the graphics, which were ok at this time, but for all together.

Super Metroid was absolutely excellent, and is my 2nd favourite game on the SNES.

Metroid Prime was very, very boring. I believe the jump to 3D didn't cut it with me.

Actually, not all of Super Metroid's tracks stick in my mind terribly well. This Brinstar theme, the eastern Maridia theme, the lower Norfair chant, and the crateria march are just about the only excellent tracks in this overall excellent game; the other tracks were pretty good, but not all that memorable.

I love this kind of music. It just makes you feel cool and dangerous when you're playing, and it fits the slick/alien/sci-fi feel of Samus and the environment like a glove. It manages to turn the gameplay into storytelling, not just action.
