As I said in the video, as Arad and Hilberg's books primarily focus on the extermination of the Jews, it is somewhat extraneous to talk about what happened a year after the mass killing stopped and nine months after the camp had been completely destroyed by the SS. You haven't shown that the mere fact that it (Soviet report) was the first report means that it must be mentioned by Arad or Hilberg.

Common knowledge or not, urine does have a high sodium content and would not quench thirst effectively, although water concentration in urine varies considerably. However, Sharing urine would quickly render the urine useless at quenching thirst. Dehydration must be severe before people resort to drinking urine. If Jews drank urine it is because they like it.
