@kristelledecker Doesn't look like a leech at all actually. It looks like a giant single cell. This is really odd, as a creature such as this should only exist on a microscopic level.

Sorry for the late reply...to answer your question:

yes they can survive if cut in two, because they possess special cells (neocytes) which regenerate the lost body parts! you can even cut the head in two and you get a worm with two heads! :)

they feed from small animals like plancton but some are parasitic. The one in the video is a planarian and it is not parasitic.
