@skrevan19 I agree with you. But take my example - I'm 20, and honestly, I hate sports, and I'm totally not fascinated in taking part of any branch of the Armed Forces. I prefer a good book (especially if it's about History of Portugal/ Spain/ European Discovery Age Era). To be in an organization such as this one, I'd be dead in a couple of days. And I'm not saying only in body - but also in mind/ soul, with all that propaganda crap.

@skrevan19 And don't blame parents on everything. When I was little, I used to play with my childhood friends in the streets. Nowadays it's nearly impossible - and I think about my niece - she's loosing a lot, by not being able to make friends on her neighbourhood. But here in Portugal kids pass more time between 4 walls, either be it at school or home, and noone cares. Especially in big cities, such as Lisbon.

A lot of people don't know that the Germans took the model of the Boy Scouts to create the Hitler Youth. The activities and regimentation were identical in the 1930's. After the war, Stores of Hitler youth knives were captured, their phrase ground off, and given away as Boy Scout knives until the 1970's. Ironic.

I would like to think that education might help somewhat; but not an education in the sense of ideology (in whatever form) but education through exposure. When people experience others in every facet of life they tend to realize that life is not black and white. People do not get to do this most of the time though sadly.
