in my ideal world, people would use linux and games would all run on openGL, integrated graphics adaptors wouldn't exist, and every computer available would be able to run games without exception. Upgrades would be much simpler with every hardware vendor totally dedicated to performance as well as backward and forward compatibility, they wont invalidate good chipsets like intel does. That's what I want, not what apple and microsoft are giving people with their dishonest practices.

have you even used vista? it's absolutely horrible. Ive had it for a year now. oh sure I liked it at first and didn't know why everyone hated it, but then when it froze for the 50th time, or when the internet slowed down to a crawl because of it, I began to see what they meant. make no mistake, vista is nothing but a downgrade.

i have 2 PC's and 2 macs. i used vista, xp, tiger and leopard, and i have to say the best OS i have used, IMO, is leopard. vista causes my tower to overheat, and my graphics card to crash. leopard, yes it has its glitches and yes its not a freaking perfect os like the mac fanboys want u to think, but it is relativity more user friendly and stable. i am not a mac fanboy, or a windows fanboy, i just come here with knowledge from both sides of the arguement, and experience using both types of OS

thats cheap, for what you get like imac,compact computer barely any wires, 20/24inch monitor, microphone on it,speakers on it, camera on it, 300+GB 7200rpm hdd, way more programns like windows and there free, very easy mouse, and the operating system is way better than vista and user friendly, i had vista on my pc it really did keep crashing on me, i even got blue screen 8 times.computer+ 20+inch monitor(maybe speakers), camera,mic comes around $1300-$1600 even custom built pc,with vista.

Vista just focused on visual interface changes while Mac focused on actual user-friendly features and 3rd party software compatibility.

also, vista takes 4 times as much RAM to run smoothly as Leopard, while Leapord can run on as little as 512 Mb.

this, plus the price difference between the 2 make it an obvious choice for me.. get a mac!!

when you respond to someone providing facts don't make it sound like one or the other is better because in the end, they all suck if you think about it. Sure vista uses 1 gig (min of 512MB) of ram but how much is 1 gig of ram going to cost you? As for Leopard (also a min of 512MB ram) it to is designed visually because if it wasn't it would still be gray. As you can see as well Vista and Leopard both need at least 512MB of ram to run so i don't know where you got 4x amount of ram for vista.

i would definatly prefer mac over windows any day if they would make it to where you can install it on any pc without having to hackintosh you way, they are just an overpriced company and you can buy 3 decent pc's for the price of a dam imac or power mac so yeah i think they will never match up to windows sales or pc sales for that matter in the future at all.

It has so many little problems. like in visual studio 2008 you cant create a new project.

I cant load the activation wizard for 3ds max 2009 so i cant use that either.

It has a shitty theme that is impossible to modify without using a shitload of ram.

I cant even load up the setup wizard for halo 2 vista... !VISTA!... I mean what the fuck...
