  • Music -FAIL.

It's a good song, but meant for watching fighter planes doing their shit, not "quiet mornings" in the control tower watching civil aircraft come and go.

  • Love this song.

  • Hey, what have u done to ur vid? I loved the steady, quiet music on the background, now u changed it to evanescence? Come on... I used to watch tyour vid almost every day several months ago, but this music really irritates me, doesn't fit air traffic control and u already knew it before puttin it!

  • shitty music. Don't put any music at all. Life does'nt have it.

  • @Titusatreides Unless your like me and walk around with earbuds in ;)

  • @Matdude6 true.

  • I was wondering which airport until I saw the Lightening then knew it was Cape Town. I have to say that I agree with some of the others the music is a bit intrusive.

  • I can't believe you're still using paper strips! I retired 23 years ago, and the talk back then was that we were soon going to have electronic strips.

  • @ChesapeakeBeach haha ya i knwo right i dont know much bout atc almost pilot myself and i know thats from the stone age ROFL

  • the first 340 rotated waaay to soon look his tail almost hit but his landign was AMAZING the perfect friken greaser!

  • @thefsxandREALpilot The pilots rotate when the on board computer tells them to.

  • Yeah, music sukx, leave it out.

  • loved the video HATED THE LOUD poorly chosen music.

  • Good video I really enjoyed it...once I found the "mute" button that is.This has got to be the #1 most overrated and overused song on the internet.

  • @FoulOwl Nah, I think "Bodies" is the most over used song on the internet, this song is defanintley up there though!

  • Rofl. Now that u mention it.I just muted that one too.Just since I logged on a little while ago.

  • 1:11 AWESOME landing 5/5 good job PILOT!!!

  • It is Cape Town International in South Africa. love it boys

  • WHERE IS IT?

  • LAUGH! Hey, Appreciate the video. Tis a tough job many depend on. And, the comments can get discouraging indeed. Acronyms, hmm, perhaps we should use the full phrasing, and add about twenty one minutes to radio chatter per approach/departure? lol

  • Audioswap done - thx, didnt know about this option..

Now all stop moaning about the music - I am not changing it again :)

  • @Mav747 It still sucks.

  • hahaha i laugh at all the comments about the music!

It was the only song i could find that was FREE to use without violating any rules and regulations.

Sorry about the music people :)

  • check out the audioswap options, they will give you some free songs.

  • @Mav747 i think they are referring to having music generally. you should have left it out. the atc chatter is music in itself.

  • Why the music? Video would have been great otherwise

  • wats the song called an its not half bad guys!

  • So nice to see a BAC Lightening flying

  • All these damn acronyms is one thing I really dislike about flying.

  • i always get confused with them one of them is ILS because it has 2 meaning in-flight refueling and insturment flight rules

  • did you mean IFR? ILS means something entirely different

  • @paulqualls no i am talking about how sometimes ifr can mean in-flight refueling suck as a KC-10 does and the other meaning how it is instrument flight rules

  • looks like that plane is going so slow its crazy that that huge thing is flying!

  • what the a340

  • were is dat Cape Town ??

  • It sure isn't quiet with that strange music playing.

  • i bet working with only one runway makes it more difficult

  • Do you really get music playing like that up in the tower when its not busy???

  • What is the music?

  • Good video, but the music sucks!

  • Hi, yeah it can be a very busy airport at times mixing all the scheduled traffic with the VFR light aircraft and helicopters. Only one runway which makes it interesting too.

  • Wow! It may be the editing, but that looks like one busy airpoort! What are those slips of paper the ATC shuffles in the space in front of him? How's that work?

  • They are flight strips - used as paper backup and to record any deviation from flight plan etc.

  • Isn't true the flight strips are used how help for atc.A FPL without deviation have too a flight strip.

The flight strips for all VFR flight are makes by the controller. The strips for all IFR traffics(all IFR are scheduled, because a IFR FPL must be send to the center at least 30minutes before start EOBT)are make with a automatized sistem wich, after start up,send to the ATC the information about FPL with a little printer.

  • In the flight strip you can find a route, cruise FL,TAS,ETE,callsign and in a specified item you can find a cleared FL and cleared waypoint.

  • Because for a local VFR a a/c don't need a FPL or a VFR which don't go in another nation.

But the a/c MUST be equipped with a ELT for the emergency

  • I'd give my left big toe to fly for SAA...

  • Great video and music - thanks for posting. :)

  • Cape Town, South Africa

  • HEy, Which Airport is this?

  • Hey maverick! great video!
