  • music "dragon ball Z" XDDDDDDD

  • That's some beautiful work! I wish I could work with machines like this.

  • Great video, but horribly annoying music.

  • 62Rc - D2

  • how hard woz that chunk of steel?

  • For some reason I'm imagining doing this with those 16" guns the navy used to use on their battleships. I know it's impossible but IT'D BE SWEET.

  • 3:55 - First time I've seen a surface finish so fine that I could see a clear reflection of the tool!

  • No it is a Hardinge. I don't know the model.

  • @Ranitool

  • Was that a Gildemeister lathe?

  • That's some hot swarf

  • isn't the material getting too hot and is losing its hardness on the surface?

  • @doktorfurunkulus all the heat goes in the chips . the material isn't hot enough to change the surface

  • this is better than watching porn

  • @soundspark

ohhh Because i thought that there might be BUE formation and stuff....But obviously they know better... ! :) And i guess i hadn't seen the explanation when i posted that comment last!

  • @himonshu BUE is usually caused by insufficient speeds in "gummy" metals like aluminum and copper.

  • Sehr beeindruckendes Hartdrehen!!

  • @mjerew

i really doubt that....plus they say its a super hard cutting tool.....n v basically need 2 just have coolant at the point of contact of the tool and the job....so...

  • @himonshu It needs to be dry so that the high temperature can actually soften the chips. Jump to 1:24 for an explanation.

  • What's with this cheesy music? Am I supposed to learn how to be a millionaire with no money down or something?

  • good pyrotechnics :)

  • y not just put some coolant on the job!! those chips r hottt!!

  • @himonshu tool would most likely shatter

  • This is just amazing.

  • Hartdrehen mit Kubischem Bornitrid ist Kostenspielig...

  • Drehen mit Hochleistungsschneidstoffen ist der Hammer man.....

  • its 62 rc. some hard ass shitt.

  • All the heat is in the chips. Part was only warm to the touch.

  • how do you pick up the part if it had 1000 degree chips coming off.? BLISTERS

  • After that, I think I might roll over and have a smoke.

  • i've ran some lathes doing hard turning, its fun to watch.

  • I'd say 1,000 degrees or more. The chips at the beginning of the video are like little fireballs.

  • Nice

  • Nice vid, really good stuff
