I used to thought this game is awesome..... but then I got one hit kill by random ents and troll (got trolled) while I'm playing as those epic heroes.... like Suruman and Gandalf....

I was like " HA HA!! A MERE TROLL DARE FACE THIS GANDALF ? I'll KICK YOUR ASS LIKE WHAT GANDALF DID TO BALROG IN THE MOVIE" then he picked me up and threw me out of the map....

@VisualiseTheFun You can still play it online. Just download Tunngle and under "Lord of the Rings: Conquest" there are a few free servers where 8v8 fights go on every day between 2 and 9 pm, and you can even host your own games.

@VisualiseTheFun God forbid. Thepiratebay is probably the safest place to download stuff from. Just read the comments and make sure the torrent has plenty of seeds. Trust me, virus torrents 1. don't get positive feedback, 2. don't have many seeds. I never got any viruses from thepiratebay. I myself used this one: (can't paste the link so just go to thepiratebay . com and type Lord of the rings conquest repack and click the only one that pops)

@VisualiseTheFun Once on the torrent page you should see a big "DOWNLOAD" button and below it is "download this torrent". Click the latter and save it somewhere. Then, after you've downloaded Bitorrent or Utorrent program, just double click the icon you previously saved and set desired destination somewhere you will know how to find it. Once finished, you'll need Daemon Tools program. (explaining the rest in a new comment because of character limit)

@VisualiseTheFun Install Daemon Tools and once you see it running in System Tray, left click it and go Mount image. Then find the place where you previously set the destination for the torrent and double click the "image" file. It will now treat the image as a DvD and you can see it in My Computer (it might autorun as well) so just install the game and enjoy :P No need to crack, patch or anything. Right click on Daemon and go Unmount/Dismount everything afterwards, but you don't have to.

@VisualiseTheFun It's np. That happens after you've installed the game? I don't remember having to crack it in order to play but I just remembered there was a crack to make Mines of Moria work. Search for this on thepiratebay "The Lord Of The Rings Conquest Crackfix-Razor1911 ", it's some 20 megs. Then unzip the biggest of the three files and you'll get a ring icon. Copy it into the directory where you installed the game and click "overwrite" or "yes to all" or "accept", whatever it says.

@doom696mented In the Rise of Sauron campaign, after a certain amount of time and progress in the level you can play as the Hero for that map, so in Rivendell, you can play as Sauron and in The Shire you can play as the Balrog and Sauron

If you want to play as balrog not on missions you need to do instant action then you click add a map and then choose Mines of Moria and then click conqeust after a few kills and captures there is standing do you want to play as hero and just click yes and u can choose balrog

Hes playable in the last 2 levels in "Rise of Sauron".

Hes also playable in Instant Action in Mount Doom on Conquest mode.

Of course even the Dark Lord has some downsides. He can easily be killed by a scout or eagle.
