I am glad YouTube exists and allows filmmakers to showcase work outside the film-festival. But I think pieces like this show the downside. The cinematic arts are like any other discipline. You need to learn the basics and work from there. Too much point and shoot from the hip is going on. Re-write your scripts, storyboard your shots and spend time on post-production. You can try shortcuts all you want but audiences are never fooled.
