There's a dislike button on youtube. And people are allowed to dislike things (it's actually good when there's disagreement). I liked this song, but I completely dislike this wave of idiots commenting on what people who dislike something must feel.
Everyone is free to pick up on what they want and to drop down on what they don't.
@ksabalo I agree theres a diffrence. This I know... But, attacking people and trying to make them feel stupid, that person is trying to get on a power trip. If someone is really that focused on people calling Dubstep Dubstep and not shortening it to Dub because Dub is another genre thats cool with me spread the word. But let people know on a more respectable level.
@mon0moo Don't worry, she has the same argument in multiple video comment areas. It's kinda pathetic if you ask me. I was curious where the anger of the word "Dub" came from (which I agree Dubstep is too long to write, so many people do refer to it as Dub,) and I've come to realize that it's a random power trip she seeks out through Youtube. pretty lame
This song grabbed me by the throat first time i heard it, im a metal music lover but sometimes there is music wich has something new in it i cannot put my finger on, this is one of them, the evil notes, i bet this would have been forbidden in the the church controlled society in the past
@mijlorange1 You can see the distinction between the two tracks? I appreciate you may prefer Feist and the original but you can see the way James Blake has de constructed the track and reassembled it in an at least unusual way. I have heard it given credit as Feists' song and surely his remix if you would call it that is his way of showing his appreciation of feist. Anyway we could argue semantics for days so that my opinion and thats all it is. Opinion.
Why is this guy laying so much claim to this song??? I don't get it? It's a great song. And he does a "decent" job of it but it's a Feist song and her version is one of the best songs of this current generation of song writers. No cover will ever come close. It's a bit odd and makes a huge statement about this guy.
"This guy" is Zane Lowe & he knows what is what in the world of music. Hence he can call what will be big and what won't. When you can host your own national radio show then you can judge him
@mightyme13 No, I'm talking about the guy who created the track, James Blake, not Lowe. And I am certainly in a position to judge anyone who takes someone elses song and rides it to stardom, laying claim to it as if it were theirs.
I remember listening to this on the radio when I was visiting LA with friends we were driving down sunset boulevard that night. It was a great atmosphere
So u like the genius that is James Blake? Then why not take the time to come and check out this little remix of 'I Never Learnt To Share'.....you can find it at the following page 'Hobbzification'.
Hi James, you are a star pal, you have an amazing ability in producing music I love your style. "ACE" . My Daughter also writes and produces her own music she has just finished a track called Deja Vu, if you get chance have a gander, on youtube "Cara Braia" she will be completing a Dub step version and other stuff. James if you do get to read this ACE music for 2011 well done.
I was going to say that this was far more interesting that his more experimental stuff until I realised it was purely a cover even down to the same chords. I think the hype machine is needing a bit of a reboot. Perhaps kids have been denied real music for too long?
@avalonpreen No, thats what detracts from this version in a way. You could virtually take any song you like and do the same to it and it would sound good, a bit like reggae and dub. I don't mind covers but he hasn't done a lot with it really apart from add space. I see that this guy is getting all the credit for the cover whereas the original was probably overlooked even though its nicer. I'd be annoyed if I was the original artist but it might help sales I guess.
@unnoticeable A small child you say? I'd say a huge, fat, sweaty man in his mid-ages! :D The bigger the better! My PA-system with 2 sub-elements, bith with 4*15" sure as hell play this well, and they're each the size of an obese man xD
