It's possible to do with no lives lost; but you can't do it like that if you rush the waves. I did it with 7 pellet towers, here's how.

First 2 at the entrances upgraded to 4, then a center one upgraded to 4, then two covering each exit upgraded to 4, then another left of center upgraded to 4, then another right of center upgraded to 4, then upgrade the middle to 5, then upgrade the left and right to 5, then upgrade one of the 2 entrance towers to 5.

Doing one wave, at a time, that will work.

I made it without leaking! :D It's pretty much the same, but you must put the first tower in the right under corner 1 lower. Then you won't leak in the second round and you can upgrade 1 more tower (in the video he misses 2 dollar to upgrade the other tower).

Yeah, I just did. I basically copied this strategy, except I started with two towers at level 4 (at opposite corners) instead of four at level 3. You get the same raw firepower, but since Darks absorb a set amount of damage per shot, it's much more effective. Level 4 pellet towers are one shot, one kill for the first few levels, and by the time they aren't, you have enough that it doesn't matter.

You can maze this though it is quite difficult. I think I had 19 leak though it was one of the first times I played this game.
