The checks and balances were put in place so that this would not happen. Isn't the questions is who is or what position is responsible for gather those that voted and authored this bill. 1. @larsonsier I can't recall the name of the bill , but it defined what constituted terrorists and those deemed suspicious. The section describing those that were deemed suspicious was especially disturbing because they defined people of normal attributes as terrorists or suspected terrorists. A few of the definitions were people with missing fingers, wearing mustaches, have a desenting view of gov't or its policiest, protestors, accents; essentially written to cover everyone in some degree.
