I have XP, but my card can run Directx 10... I don't want to switch to vista or 7, because both of them aren't as stable as XP... I know this from my own experience...

The beauty of lotro DX10 is in the dynamic shadows. This video doesn't show this noticeably for more than 5 seconds. You can achieve everything else seen here in DX9.

Somewhat correct. But the fact of it is this whole video was captured running DX10 in Lotro. The water is another DX10 feature that you fail to mention.

True. Definitely a personal thing but when I'm rocking Moria and places during dusk/morning the dynamic shadows are what make it real for me.

the fps i was getting I am not sure of, fraps decreases fps quite a bit so I am assuming about 30-60 with fraps and whatever I can max out on without. I never looked really.

Basicly gives better graphics. DX10 can only be run on Vista/"7.

While DX9 can run on windows xp, windows vista and W7.

Example: In this movie, you can at some point see the shades moving. With DX9 this would not happen.

All of the newer graphcards have DX 10. The difference is better visuals, so it takes more of your system to run it. Note that players with the 32 bit system have been having problems with running lotro in DX10.

I have not played this game since pre Moria. It is not because of a lack of interest, but because of school. Well, that´s life eh? As soon as the summer vacation begins, I will for sure return to LotrO and Laurelin EU.

np man it really is a great vid. what system u running? u think ill be able to run lotro on atleast very high with a 800gts 1.8ghz duel core processor and 2gb of ram? i havent tried it yet on my desktop

youll be playing on the lowest settings... but you can play it may not run so smoothly . i feel youre paine i have to play on medium/low settings myself but you make the best of it a great game

I used Adobe Premier to make the video. In game settings everything ultra high 1920x1200 resolution. You tube shows about 75% of the actual quality.
