  • Sounds like L. Ron Hubbard psychobabble. Hubbard hated doctors. He was a fruitcake and a hypochondriac. He tried to get disability payments when he left the Navy, even though nothing was ever found wrong with him. He especially hated psychiatrists, and his claims that Prozac is bad for people were self-serving, since he always claimed that his Macnines That Go Ping would help the mentally ill more efficiently, even though there has never neen any proof that they do a better job.

  • To everyone hating on the video, it's designed to shock you into thinking harder about taking medication.

And to make you watch "Food Matters", because this goes hand in hand with the ideas put forth in that movie.

  • As a psychiatrist I have to say this is extremely misleading. I'm not even sure where to start. But I'll start by the (perhaps not intentional) misuse or misunderstanding of the DSM: "having ups and downs" does not qualify someone for a diagnosis of bipolar disorder - not even close. Similarly simply being shy does not give a diagnosis of Social Anxiety. There are legitimate critiques of psychiatry. However, based on this "preview" I don't think this documentary is one such critique.

  • What sucks is that Eisenhower warned us of the industrial military complex. this country is one nation under the corporation and special interests. the whole American societal archetype is designed to divide and compartmentalize one person from another without the population even realizing it. Its really amazing how easy it is to keep people complacent.

  • They could not even explain schizophrenia. I do believe that too many people are put on pills for mental disorders but these medication help people suffering from schizophrenia greatly it was thanks to these pills that people could be released from mental hospitals.

  • OF course most poeple who seek the help of a psychiatrist receive a treatment. Sane, happy poeple don't go to a psychiatrist office. You go to a psychiatrist once your problem become obvious to everybody.

One of my cousin is bipolar 2. He does not have dellusion, but he sometimes act on impulse. And by impulse, I mean he sold his 79 corvette for 50$ . Stupid you say? When the mania wear off, he realised what he's done.

STOP SPREADING THOSE LIES. PSYCHIATRY IS FAR FROM PERFECT BUT THIS IS BS

  • Bipolare disorder is NOT having ups and down! For fuck sake, MANIA has nothing to do with being happy. Somebody running around naked at night shouting "I AM JESUS" is not a normal expression of happiness.

Paranoid is not suspicion. To be paranoid you need to believe the CIA is after you or aliens want you dead.

Social anxiety is quitting your job because the sight of other humans being make your heart race

Major Depressive disorder can make you stay still for days until you starve and die

  • I watched a bunch of documentary like Zeitgeist or The Corporation, it had an impact on me but I wondered: Am I a free spirit, or just gullible to anti-establishment propaganda?

Watching this, I am now convince that my bullshit detector is sharp. This documentary is only strawman argument after another.

Psychiatrist were wrong in the past, this means they are wrong today?

You can't diagnose somebody because of his behavior?

    This is STUPID

  • Ummm, so why do these drugs work?

  • This is a good Doco - people who think other wise have way tooooooo much trust in there government and the controlled medical community -

  • This is based on a bunch of baloney! There is tons of research to show the usefulness of these medications... you need to educate yourself with proper information before you watch smut like this...

    This is a preposterous idea.

  • the insulin reference at beginning of clip is wrong. diabetes cure/prevention has been known since the 50's. it is not genetic as mainstream medicine has u believe. it is a mineral deficiency easily stopped. money not in cure or prevention. havent watched this full documentary yet. am goin too, sure it is gud and sincere ill soon see.

  • Bad science. Not even self-consistent. Beware! Apparently if you can't take an x-ray of it, then it's not there and can't be medicated. So psychotropic drugs are useless. But insulin and other "medical drugs" that correct a "measurable and proven imbalance" in the body or OK. So show me an x-ray of an insulin imbalance? Oh.. you can't? I guess perhaps there are other ways of knowing something is there besides taking an x-ray.

Not saying the message is wrong. But the logic sure is.

  • What about serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia to name a few? just give these folk vitamin c . This is some serious propaganda shit by the Scientologist's, if anyone should be taking psychiatric drugs, it's them.

  • THIS IS A SCIENTOLOGIST BULLSHIT FILM be careful what yoiu watch.

  • Comment removed

  • How can this video claim that these medications cause side-effects when, as it clearly notes, that THERE ARE NO SCIENTIFIC STUDIES?????

I agree, that physcians can and do over prescribe rather than doing more investigation. However, as one who takes one of these psycho-tropic drugs for depresion and anxiety, I can tell you that this medication makes my life A LOT better!

Be careful about buying what this video is selling. Basically, use your common sense!!

  • @bobbitoth SCIENTOLOGIST CULT SHIT

  • I have taken depakote and geodon and zyprexa and gain 70pds. These pills make you eat and eat and you never feel full. Plus when you take diet pills itdoen't work when your on these pillsa pharmacy told me that when I told her I've taken all sort diet pill and it doen't work. But stay on the meds and go on Jenny Griag it's expense but don't get off the program you'll gain all the weight again. OR eat at a certain time not just watever i've lost 10pds doing that.

  • @leelyndaa SCIENTOLOGIST CULT SHIT

  • The population needs to get off the drugs before we contaminate more of our water supply...

  • Terrifyng. It's not only about money. It's also about control. It's the PharMatrix, and it MUST be exposed. Thank you.

  • @marge15270 I wonder the same thing... from personal experience (my sister). I absolutely hate drugs and am definitely in favor of nutritional healing but...without drugs, my sister can not function in our society and lives in mental torture constantly. With them, she is her beautiful, funny, personable self. We have taken her to naturopaths and tried getting her to eat well and take natural supplements but she simply is not able to remember to do it--and is overwhelmed. 100% not placebo.

  • @rcness

Wow, you have a really narrow understanding of the placebo effect. All of your family tells you (with body language at least) how they love the drugged you, but hate the undrugged you... that can't affect anything...

I have sisters like you. I no longer communicate with them. NOW my life is happy again, really happy.

  • @amommamust SCIENTOLOGIST CULT SHITT

  • @rcness Huh; so, how is she able to remember psychotropic medication but not able to remember to take natural supplements? You make no sense.

  • Here Take these Pills. I don't know whats Wrong with you. But Please Take these Pills... COME ON.....

  • WAKE UP PEOPLE......

  • NO PILLS FOR ME.....EVER AGAIN

  • But what happens when the patient responds positively to the drug? When they need it for health and happiness and without it cannot function in society? That's often the case, you know. I'm not saying drugs aren't over prescribed, but sometimes they can dramatically improve the quality of life for an individual. To say, they're ALWAYS unnecessary, well, that's insane.

  • @Marge15270 When the patient responds in a positive way it is usually placebo effect or a brief side effect from the drug.

  • @dutytocareforothers Do you have any experience with this? I know 100% that in SOME cases, medication does help. It has helped my sister. Although I wish we could heal her nutrionally, it has not worked for her over the last 15 years...we have tried everything natural and the only thing that has made a difference is when she took medication unfortunately.

  • @rcness

Yeah, I was a medical office manager and put on SSRIs because I was sad - my Mom was dying and my daughter was moving away. After 4 suicide attempts and much psychiatry-induced emotional trauma, my husband got me OUT of their clutches. They will not admit they poisoned me, just labeled me crazy and put me on disability. That's right, your taxes are paying for their mistake.

You say the drugs "make a difference." They might make your life better, but it is killing her.

  • It's all about money!

  • The worst part about this whole thing is that people who are caught up in the lie will always find the truth exceptionally offensive. People today are pretty determined to believe their problems are extraordinary, and they won't take kindly to anyone 'belittling' them.

  • fuck psychiatry and scientology

  • don't insult Dr. Paul with your ignorant comments and your username. These videos are educational and will awaken a lot of people.

  • I love the video

  • these videos are amazing.....eye opening!! stay informed, stay ahead

  • Who made this one? I'm just curious. There was a video that I had shown to my old employer, and I was informed that it was actually a sub-group formed by Scientoligist. Not that all of the information is wrong, but it can be misleading propaganda towards an agenda. Something that pharmaceuticals do as well.

  • so what you're saying is CCHR documentaries are all lies and a fraud and psychiatry is a fraud too. which one is right in your mind?. is it hard for you to make a decision?.

  • No, I just think that people need to be wary of where they get their info from, and do their due diligence in research, before making any final decisions. This is a world of both good and evil. It's up to the individual to watch out for themselves.

  • The CCHR documentaries are all 100% correct. It it wasn't, the government would not allow them to produce this. The facts in the documentary are all truths and thats why the government gives them the OK to produce. If there was an organization saying cancer didnt exist and is a fraud, the government would not allow such documentaries to be produced. Many government officials support CCHR because they tell the facts.

  • most people know and understand that psychiatry is a fraud. that can not be disputed. These documentaries reinforce the truth. psychiatry kills.
