BTW, I know over the years Corinne's hair has gone from short bob to long to short again, but personally I think this mid-length cut is her best look. It has a real, urban hip sophisticate look to it. Then again, maybe it being paired with that long black leather cinched trench coat is what makes the look...
My top artists of all time for a reason. I love that in fact Corinne's vocals are raw and off the cuff, and not absolutely flawless - read "not over-rehearsed". The phrasing is natural, part of its beauty is just that - but never a flat note and these weren't easy songs to perform live. Andy as always, the consummate professional on the keyboards. You poor idiots. I've been telling you that SOS is light mediocre and irrelevant. Just save the two or three passable songs on your MP3 player and get on with your lives..
It seems that somewhere in this time period, SOS lost some of their enthusiasm and punch. An underlying tone of melancholy replaced the vibrant joy and playfulness that characterized their previous work.
This version really showcases the core of SOS. Andy's keyboards and Corinne's vocals are the heart & soul of the SOS sound. She could sing the phonebook and Andy could arrange "chopsticks" and it'd be a classic..what talent.

SOS is EXTREMELY under rated. The music business is so screwed up now, that so called "artists" with no talent get attention and the real talent is ignored
She has a beautiful "sweet spot" - that note that she favors as her "base landing" - it's like heaven to the ears. In her great songs, she just lands on that note at the most perfect time; awesome. It truly gives us a fleeting moment to hear the "source" of where her natural voice comes out from. It epitomizes that lush, deep, full-bodied voice of hers - just fabulous.
It's completely amazing. What a skilled, talented singer. She's the real deal. Just keyboard! Her body has the groove - notice that in any song she dances so groovy; it's built in.
It's clear she has a sweet personality, too; it clearly comes out in her performances & recordings.
And how about those hands and fingers? VERY expressive in all her performances. (Sad to say, I can only attest to that thanks to YouTube; one day perhaps they will deign to tour the U.S. again...)
And no matter what haircut or style she has at the time (long, short, bob, or in-between), she always looks quite fetching! (A lot of that is also her personality that comes through, as you so astutely noted.)

Andy plays SO beautifully. He's a hugely talented keyboardist! Corinne is lovely. She sings like an angel! What a voice! Not overpowering, but sweet, calming... She hits her notes so confidently! A nice treat to hear her speak as well! These two are a match made in heaven! That audience must've been in a state of euphoria!
