  • RUDES are the best

  • awesome!!

  • T'a du banquer grave pour se custom shop, mais dit moi comment tu a fait se custom, c'est obliger d'être sponsorisé ?

  • @pierrelebatteur pas du tout, suffit de demande poliment à paiste.

  • Could you custom order any line of cymbals from Paiste? Including PST 5?

  • @MajykOyster can i also do a custom order for other cymbals like meinl??? and does the custom order work in germany, too???

  • How much did this cost?

  • dude.

    that is sick.

  • what kind of sicks do u use?

  • Am I the only one who doesn't really like the sound of this? A heavy weight bell should be way higher pitched IMO...

  • Kind of has an ugly finish in the center. I know it's because it's the raw metal but it just kind of sticks out too much for me.

  • Why are you using a metal rod to hit your cymbal with?

  • @joebutterworthmusic

That's what I thought, too. Hey, it's his cash. Let him hit the shit with whatever he wants. It's like using those Silver Bullet things from Vic Firth.

  • looks like someone smeared shit on it

    sounds sick though

  • If you don't mind me asking, how much did that run you?

  • nice stick dude :D

  • i have a rude power ride and the bell looks exactly the same

  • how is that ride? i dunno what to get. paiste rudes or alphas. but i dont know what the durability of the rude cymbals are like. ps if u couldnt tell. i wasnt big on paiste till a week ago. right now im between sabian and paiste

  • dude it is awesome its thick, loud, pingy and the bell is penetrating and plus it looks awesome

look it up on the paiste website

  • i like the sound i just read some bad reviews on it. but im probly gonna start on rudes.. its just a change i wana make sure ill like becuase im a big sabian fan but looks like its paiste for me from now on

  • yeah i was a sabian meinl guy but i got this ride because it was 80$(clearance) and it was the best deal on a cymbal ive ever got. another thing is the alphas are pretty much a cheaper rude

  • i used zildjian before using paiste and i love them, i have a full set of rudes and i know a few people that have them - extremely bright and loud so perfect for heavy styles of music. VERY durable as they are thick - thats one reason why i chose paiste over sabian as the sabian AAX series always crack and everyone that i know that has them has had one of their cymbals crack after about 8 months max and that includes pro rummers!

  • @phizzd sabian ALWAYS cracks. if u want durabillity, Meinl got it. Zildjian is the best sounding on every sheet, but sometimes, there durabillity is a little shorthand

  • @JaskaJunior

Speak for yourself. I've got a complete set of Sabians, and they hold up great. You're probably just hitting the things like a damn ape.

  • @PaganWarDrummer i am a hard-er hitter, but i dont play metal. i had a set of AAX crashes and they cracked within months

  • @JaskaJunior

Metal doesn't matter. I play prog and grindcore as well as jazz and blues. Hitting hard is a bad idea in general. I started doing heavy hitting, but after spending well over $500 on replacement cymbals, I realized it's just not worth it. Work to hit less hard and you'll be able to use any cymbal you want for a fuckload longer than you normally would have.

  • @PaganWarDrummer i play mainly latin rhythms, jazz, and mix of prog, rock, and folk. i barely ever SERIOUSLY nail them, and when i hit them hard, its when im doing accents on crashes or on the ride in a big band setting. i just found the AAX's and sabian to not be too durable.

  • @JaskaJunior

That's fine. Just a bit of advice from one drumtard to another, ha. Sabian thin cymbals aren't durable, but the thicker ones usually hold up well.

  • @JaskaJunior there is no need to slam those even tho its fun well if u play hard rock or metal which is what aax's apx's aa's ESPECIALLY yes ESPECIALLY hhx's whoch have a super super dark sound with tones of decay yet they r fairly loud wish i can have those but they r a pretty penny

  • @Z32spdstr HHX and HH are the only one i would buy, dark, trashy, and "evil" is what i like

  • @JaskaJunior oh if u want to hear these cymbals in action listen to a band called messhuggah and yes they may not be ur genre of music but they have a great example of the those HHX cymbals they r awsone not glassy, bright like paistes are which i haveproblem with but check these out

  • get rudes. there is absolutely no comparison. rudes are amazing. alphas are for beginners.

  • There are plenty amazing drummers that play Alphas.

  • like 3. i bet you just want positive reassurance that your little cheap cymbals are good when they are not. a couple sound nice, I have to admit, but that is a tiny amount.

  • I suppose plenty is kind of an overstatement. I don't know why you say cheap LITTLE cymbals, they make a 24' ride. AND I don't even own any, but the drummers that do play them sound awesome. There are PLENTY of amazing drummers that play LESS EXPENSIVE cymbals of all brands and still sound great.

  • that is true....

  • sabian sabian sabian sabian sabian! the ONLY cymbal i get from other brands are my china's. get sabian

  • but they crack so often paistes dont but chinas sound amazing from sabian thats the only one i ever got and i wont get again :P

  • lol i havent had any of my sabians crack :P

  • How about a boom stand? ....lol JK Very Nice sound!!!!

  • what are you hitting it with

  • dude u dont need to custom order a cymbal to get that sound. I got a stagg black metal heavy bell and it sounds just like this i got it new for 50

  • majyk...you probably already know this from the paiste forum...but I have the same cup chime. They wouldnt let me order it any other way either...just the plain 9" RUDE. I wanted to have it color coated...hehe.

But for anyone else looking for this cymbal, I used Drumpad in Palatine, IL, just ask for a guy named jim, and he will be able to get you this cymbal custom ordered. It takes about 3 months...but this cymbal is awesome believe me.

  • @ michiganice91

    omfg the drum pad?

    I got my drumset there!

    i live near u :P

  • haha...you probably dont. I ordered from there, but I lived in North Carolina at the time. They will ship stuff anywhere. I even got a Blue Bell Ride there for only $332. Im in Michigan now though. ;)

  • sound awesome dude!ur so lucky man! did joey jordonson use that cup chime on the iowa album?

  • how do i custom order a cymbal from paiste?

  • just go to your local music store and ask for a custom order.

  • where do you even find one of these?

  • custom order that is.

  • yeah I looked all over for the internet for one of these with no luck lol, thanks by the way

  • omg!!! this is incredible sound!! I'll switch to rude cup chime!!! I'll change my zil-bel! this is amazing!!!!! I got my paiste alpha ride and crash!!!

  • yeah!!! put !!! at the end of my sentences rocks !!!

  • This it´s not a specifical cymbal from Paiste. This is a cutted cymbal. I know because I do it this in my cymbal, doing the same sound.

  • you know because you didn't take the time to see the word "prototype" printed on the cymbal...

  • i know the guy and this is a custom order, like his 14" china rude

  • !!!!!

  • I think it is a pen..

  • what the hell r u hitting the bell with

  • looks like metal Lol hope not..

  • Nice finger!

  • What is it ? Ladle ? :)

  • wow i love rudes and havent heard of a bellor cup chime.i would of like to see it in action though

  • Don't want to sound cheeky - but how much did you have to pay for this?? :)

  • cant wait to order one of these bad boys

  • sweeet.. thats alot of money tight thr

  • WOOOOOOOOH!!! ... impressive sound, beautiful.. congratulations

  • I'm going to regret this, but immaturity has taken it's toll and I just have to say it...

...this cymbal reminds me of a giant metallic nipple.

    Sorry.

  • @JerichoFrost

    Pepperoni nipples?

  • Ok, this is kind of a random question. I am looking for a ride cymbal that sounds good and is decently priced. Is a Paiste Alpha 22" for $99 a good deal?

  • yes really good

  • go to the website and listen to it

  • That has such a great sound to it. When you ordered it how long did you wait for it and what is the weight of this cymbal?

  • so is this supposed to be somewhat like a paiste version of the Zil-Bel?

  • more or less. it's more powerful than a regular cup chime, but it's still less powerful and darker than a zil-bel.

  • What do you mean by special order, like did ask for all the specs you wanted.

  • just ask or anything you want, and see if they do it or not. there's no rule.

  • yea i want to know how i can custom order paiste cymbals

  • just ask any music store selling paiste cymbals to make a special order.

  • Where would one go for custom ordering original cymbals such as this one?

  • could you not put it on a stand and play it with a stick

  • look at my other vids, you should hear what you want.

  • thanks, sorry if i came across as rude

  • no pun intendd?

  • hahaha

  • lololol

  • "im not tryin to be rude, but what is the point of a cup chime? "

well they make nice accents for metal, especially when theres nothing else and its a simple beat youre palying. thats when i use it cos its not expected

  • weird looking stick

  • Gotta get meself a custom Paiste sometime! :D

First on the list though: 20" 2oo2 novo

  • im not tryin to be rude, but what is the point of a cup chime?

  • it produces sounds. kinda like a music instrument.

  • haha i love how delicately you hit it

  • I waited throughout the whole video for you just to hit it. That cymbal is a good'un.

  • i like how all of the paiste rude series look kinda burnt in color but i be they sound really good

  • Rude cup shime?

I've never seen one before...it isnt even on paiste site...

Its a discontinued cymbal or what?

    Cheers everyone!

  • custom it is!

  • how much was it?

  • can we buy that cymbals?

  • just buy an ice bell ther cooler lol

  • sweet vibrato.

  • just play the damn cymbal

  • omg i know he must not know anything about drums your so smart......................... and like a woman

  • ...What?

  • LMFAO....so true "oh no....nasty fingerprints!!"

  • whoever u r, words cant describe how much of a stupid lonely person u are. ur probably gay.

  • ...What?

  • hahaha fingerprints, yes it probably was expensive but its friggin cymbal, you hit it with a stick. wtf.

  • That shits gonna be beaten with a stick, after 3 minutes of playing finger prints won't mean shit.

  • where can I order the 9" Rude cup chime?

  • COOL!!! NICE ONE!!!

  • Nice nipple dude ;)

  • sweet

  • yea you really should have done a hard rim shot

  • woahh, thats so tight haha. interesting sound

  • please do a vid where the cup chime i up side down and your hiting it hard with a real drum stick.

  • joey uses different cymbal lines not just rudes. they go from alphas up to signatures. the chime he plays is a signature one i think. his setup is on the paiste website it tells you there

  • lol third world

  • I was replying to morbida. there's no rude cup chime in jordison's kit, because mine is the only one. I know cymbals too, I have splashes and more chimes, so I know the difference :p

  • hehe...1 of 2 now ;)

  • doesnt joey jordison have a rude 8" ?

  • it's not a cup chime, it's a splash. I'm not sure he still plays rudes anyway.

  • it should be a soundmans nightmare!!! :) same like my 6" bell chime ;) they hate it!!!

  • harsh overtones!

  • that is a big-ass cup chime! mine's like 6.25" (its an LP ice bell). i still dig the sound though. siiick

  • indeed killer sound!!!!!!!!!!!! paiste rules!

  • Classe ta cymbale Majyk (Moi être JMS de la Drummerie...^^)!

  • what a cute cymbal !!

  • LOL

  • why did you have to custom order it?

and how much does it cost without shipping and stuff

  • sarpado =D

  • How long did you have to wait for it?

  • custom orders take 3 months usually, but this one only took 2 months.

  • paiste rude 4lif fuking awsome sound right there
